Enjoy Venice - it's my favourite city to visit ❤️ I recommend avoiding the big restaurants along the main streets (they often have Indian waiters, for some reason!) and looking for small places in the back streets. Also, you will get lost. Often. The place is a maze 😂

I agree. I'm still writing this novel I have been imagining for years since I was a kid. It evolved a lot. It's still not finished, I probably won't finish anyway. I'm just hoping it would be a masterpiece but deep down, I know it's just trash. It's probably boring and only I would like to read it since I made it. And working on it on and off for years won't make it better, I'm just wasting my time on trash. Just because I've worked on it for years doesn't mean it will turn out as something remarkable and a masterpiece

Hey man, Imma tell you one thing, very easy: Keep it simple first. For real. For example, try first to write short texts, tales... or even small texts where you try to summarize one big idea.. What I'm telling you here is that if you want to make something big like a novel you have to go back and playing small. The INxP quadrant takes that personally haha, but it's the goal anyways, it's the Si goal

As an INFJ, 1000% guilty of researching the abstract nature of a skill and never learning the real skill, as evidenced by my lifelong obsession with sewing and gardening, which consists of a bunch of books, bookmarked-but-never-attended local class schedules, bags full of unopened supplies, and a backyard full of dead plants. Can write whole essays on the ways these skills represent metaphors for the human condition, though!

Indeed. As an esfp, I've been mistyped as the other 3 possible options of the stack until I had a catharsis that I am actually an esfp. And that I have to stop torturing myself, punishing me in my mind, because I have this cycle of having a big future plan, step by step, and not being able to follow it because I deviate from the path and because I am not a robot (we have the se-te loop turning us into workaholics too). So, when I finally acknowledged that, and got self aware, I turned it into a strength. Get yourself an INTJ. My husband is an INTJ, and he has helped me so much to put my ideas into action. INTJs are my favorite personality type. They are just awesome people and deeply misunderstood. They are loyal, passionate, and loving people. They just don't show those emotions unless they deem you worthy of them lol. I always say they are sort of like INFPs on the inside. @@bunny_0288 thanks for sharing your experience, I was looking for this because I want to know what type of personality is best for me, as an INFP I have several (and good) ideas developed in my mind, but I never carry them out because the practical part costs me a lot. For example, I've already written about 4 songs and I'm on the fifth (at this rate I'll have an album in no time); my parents love them and they tell me that they are genuine, beautiful, and I should share them because they would help people, but I never set them to music or recorded them, I don't think I have a good voice or know enough about music, so they are there, just inside my notebook . I rewound the INTP part to make sure that my husband was *really* listening. He has trouble accepting that he is an INTP (as opposed to an ISTP) but... yeah. He's definitely an INTP, and he does this All. Of. The. Time. He's been trying to design his idea of an ideal city for, literally, years, and it's basically like an ongoing thought experiment that he plays with when he's got time on his hands. It's never going to be a thing in the real world, but it makes him happy to think about it, and talk about it. And that's cool. I'm an INTP as well, and have my own thought experiments on the go. I'm just not in denial about it. LOL

I've learned this from another youtube artist. If an idea came to you, that is special. Only you could put that into the world, because the idea came to you specifically. Only you could put out that vision to the world. The artist take it as like a moral responsibility. Get it done right away at the moment the idea came, because ideas come and go. I was an infp, now I am an infj. I must say I have some frustrations of not putting out ideas when I was an infp because I was more passionate back then than now. I was more inclined to my own feelings that it touches people sometimes. Just let it out, you have something that others do not have.

@@kathyann9643 I was an infp. Infj now idk why the change I don't understand that yet, but here's what I do to get things done: I know it doesn't work for everyone but if you want to take a piece and ignore what doesn't work for you, that's fine. I make a small to do list before starting. Don't freak out. It can be done. Just make it simple, scribly, the goal is to write to dos just for the day. I know you want to do a lot because there's lot of ideas but what you can do to really produce is deduce the choices. At least for the day. If you wanna do more, that's a back up plan. Or if you wanna wing it, have a top goal for the day that's non negotiable. Don't be too hard on yourself by putting in the pending to dos on the single last day. Future goals/ inspirations to explore can be written at the back of like say your notebook. I have a notebook of just for the dos/ideas/concepts (put it in one place so when you run out of time for a great idea, it's easy to come back than looking for notes), the other one for the ideas exploration, sketching/ writing- for the draft. Then just polish the draft for "the piece" version. How I think about it, what bare minimum is forgivable for today? Goal to do - 70% of the plan. It works because usually infps have great ideas and vision but they can be perfectionists and get frustrated when outcome is not the same as the idea. I got this 70% learning from youtuber struthless - he's a comic book artist. Hopefully it helps. On the other side it's a shame ideas can't be seen. I know some of them it matters really well and resonates with you. Some infps can just put it out and not have a care how weird it is.

A very common area of fascination for INFPs is around Te subject matter like the sciences, especially the big ideas therein (Ne-Te), which is neither weird nor a secret really, but it is something that people severely underassociate with our type. There's a huge chunk of INFPs who work in the sciences and an even bigger chunk who have casual interests there or who look to scientific authority on various matters. I know this applies to me, and I work with science writing for a living (among other freelance things). :)

So, the general pattern I’m picking up is that people desperately want to live their 4th function and use their 3rd function, but they mistakenly think they can 1st and 2nd function their way to that point. So for myself as an entp, I want to create a solid structure (Si) from within which my creative ideas a flourish and grow and actually be of value to people (Fe)… but I don’t actually know how and end up just over analyzing (Ne+Ti) the many ways I could, in theory, create said structure without actually doing it. Fun times 👍🏻

You basically just summed up what each of us is obsessed with ,not just in our goal seeking and dreaming behavior but even the qualities in other poeple that puzzle us and attract us and even that we our selves project when we try to awkwardly" act cool" and be attractive , but there is a weird dynamic I am sensing ,is that while some are obsessed with their inferior functions with in lifes they might reject it and even devalue it in other poeple, take me as an enfj for example, I always tell poeple that all the help I am doing is for me and me only ,it's the can you all be happy and healthy so I can move on with my life ,so my mind can finally take a break from you all and think about me for once , I always have these self improvement plans stacked up ,this hobbies, and then someone fail their exam and I am like wait I gotta start doing their share of house work so they can have more time to recover and study , i IDIOLIZE the poeple out there that seems like they got life under control,I mean who doesn't but they don't have to be all that successful or rich ,they just know what they want ,how they want it ,actually on their way of achieving it and most importantly they want it for them selves and they are entitled to do so cause it's their one chance in life and they have the right to live ,but then I go around labeling poeple as self focused, centered ,entitled and even selfish ,and I am like if your existence doesn't do others any good by any means then why do you even exist, I whole heartedly believe them both so I fall into this weird belief that helping others is somehow gonna get just me enough permission ,allow me to feel entitled to do something for me ,so yeah this probably sounded weird and out of nowhere and just me rephrasing your perfectly well put article into this personal repetitive monologue but yeah you should write a book about this

Yes though there are some major obstacles when the two Fi clashes and the INTJ starts to try to Te with the ENFP about how their Fi is not what *should* take priority. Also good luck getting the INTJ out of their perpetual planning spiral over and over and over again so that it lines up with the ENFP's goals without being manipulative or pushy. They do work really well together but I think it is more of a project by project basis where clear cut goals can be agreed upon before entering the project rather than say a romance that needs imo flexibility depending on the events that occur to last. The ENFP consistently being told their Fi is not important will drain them.

I actually think INFPs pair better with the INTJ... but I'm extremely biased because that's what my husband and I are. He helps me make my ideas and dreams into a reality, and I help him to be a little more spontaneous and have more fun in life. But, since we're both introverted, we enjoy similar activities so it's much easier to convince him to spontaneously go on a picnic with just the two of us where it's quiet and we won't be bothered. I would never try to spontaneously drag him to a concert lol. That doesn't appeal to either of us, but I could see an ENFP getting frustrated by the more quiet and orderly life. I think INFPs are really adaptable and are more likely to compromise and work with an INTJ than an ENFP would. Now an INTJ that is closer to the middle on I/E scale may be different. My husband is an extreme introvert. I don't see him pairing well with any Extravert at all.

@@bunny_0288 I would think the Fi clash would be worse with the INFP/INTJ match but you, also I would think, help him out with that Se of his More too because the ENFP loves to go experience things but they also trust that they are able to come up with on the fly how to deal with anything that comes up so why plan in detail when what happens determines the best plan?.... and that is frightening to the INTJ.

INTP here and I can proudly say that I managed to stop trying to solve a problem once I understood that it is unsolvable. My greatest passion is anomalistic psychology, psychology of superstition and manipulation. I was always dreaming of a world where our civilization wouldn't be superstitious anymore and dedicated 2 decades of my life to learning about these issues and fixing them in myself first and foremost. But at some point I had to admit: humans are superstitious by nature, "thinking slow" and in scientific manner isn't natural for us but it's necessary to think wisely and lastly, making up nonsense takes a second while investigating and potentially debunking it takes a long time and then people don't listen anyways because they're not interested in truth. They just want answers - subtle but crucial difference. Therefore, my dream could never be achieved and humanity is only going to get worse in this regard, especially as attention span keeps shortening. So I gave up on trying to change the world. Now I just want to finish living my life as nicely as possible and die leaving this wacky circus behind. It may sound cynical but I have truly accepted reality and achieved peace with it.

What fascinates me (an INTJ) is how the principles of biological evolution can be used to understand so many seemingly unrelated things, such as geopolitical politics, morality, behavioral science, religion, corruption, and sociology. I wouldn't say the idea of having new sensory experiences FASCINATES me, it's more like it's something I feel like I would like, (maybe, probably), if I had the energy to, which I don't. Hilariously, I am so forward thinking that even if I'm having a unique sensory/social experience I am always sort of thinking in the back of my mind: "this will make such a great and interesting memory later on". Honestly the only time I feel like I can seriously indulge in a sensory experience is when I'm dancing.

"I'm not prepared enough for this new thing" is a good story of my life in one line. I've always wanted how to draw, but because I can't draw, I decide not to draw, which obviously doesn't help learning. Same story with dancing. When everyone at a party is dancing and I'm sitting in the corner of the room, I'm like : "I want to join them and get some Se experiences". But because I don't know how to dance and it makes me unconfortable, I'd rather not even try to. I’m fascinated by my ESFP husband, who likes to jump at almost every opportunity, no matter how good, bad or ugly. His favorite saying “ you never know “ and fatalism run deep. A perfect match for boring ISFJ like myself. FJ knows my personality so well, that’s a little uncomfortable sometimes, but I love that he provides the answers and shows the ways to improve

This explains the difference between INTJ and ESFP very good, I think. ESFP: Lot of energy. You never know. So why not try everything that might work. INTJ: No energy. I wanna know in advance, so I only try what is most likely to work.

Thank you Frank, for the kick in the proverbial behind! I have been watching KZfaq channels for a year now, about how to make Resin 3D flower blooms....always finding more important "actual" busy things to do. The fear of disappointment was stopping me from really doing it! I went straight out after this video, AND DID IT!

What's weird for ISTP just makes them even cooler. haha I thought my biggest weird fascination is MBTI, and with how constructive these are, it makes it even weirder. Appreciate all these ideas. Even if we don't know our type, I think one of the constructive uses for MBTI is just getting ideas such as how you as an INFJ might take the advice from the INTJ segment, or an INFJ might be set to jet in when it comes to anyone's ideas about NJ growth based on their life choices and circumstance, but might really appreciate the advice for the ESFP, ISTJ, INTP segments in your Doctor program videos or realize something about themselves or those in their lives about types that are different than their type. Conceptually, I think the types are similar with one letter difference so INFJs are most similar to ENFP, ENFJs, INFPs, and ISFJs, so maybe they might relate more to those types, but, either, way, can appreciate any ideas to help be joyful. Hope you have a joyful trip, Dr. Mario. With that INTJ, Tank James is back! The INTJ skit characters have been the consistently funniest skit character, and along with your INTJ Batman typing, not surprised anyone would want to relate with an INTJ but ISTP sounds pretty sweet here. Take care, Frank!

@@katelovegood7961 that's a shame Kate. I have learned that lots of people have dumber ideas than I do so I don't worry about it anymore. Just step forward in confidence and fake it til ya make it. I just know I'm a bit too scattered to organize some things.

You're so good! This was so well explained and thought out! And haha, I just got back from a trip to Disney with my family and I was RIDICULOUS in the number of videos I watched to prepare. And had a really tough time when things went wrong. The morning when the skyliner went down and we had to take the bus instead was tough... IT BROUGHT US TO AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT GATE FURTHER AWAY FROM OUR FIRST RIDE! THE HORROR! Have fun in Italy when you ultimately go! This is high on my list of places I'd love to visit, though I'm obsessed with the region further West toward Switzerland. I keep fake bike riding around Turin from my basement and like to imagine doing it for real one day, though I'd probably actually be too scared to do it and the actual mountains are probably too much for my quads to take.

Sorry, sitting in bed sick (the only thing free at Disney is the viruses they give out as souvenirs) and also want to comment that yesterday, I watched a movie, The Alpinist (obsessed with the Alps/Mountains and all) and the climber featured was SOOOOO ESXP and it was remarkable how much your description of the type fits with the sorts of things he was saying. He seemed to think that climbing these ever more dangerous mountains was going to bring him to some specific plan or purpose but in reality he was all kinds of all over the place chasing the next experience. I was shouting at the TV a lot.

Totally agree with the INFP. I would add At least personally for me, I come up with all these different ideas to follow because I have these barriers I have to try to get across in order to make those ideas happen and I'm unusually stuck at the barriers. Trying to figure out how to get around the barriers. Kind of like the ants trying to go around the leaf in a bug's life. Except I get sent down a different path rather than finding the line. I keep on looking for the original spot that I was trying to be at and trying to find my way there but new barriers keep on going in and making me swerve and go different way.
