Unfortunately they did this for Apollo Crews when he debuted ("the perfect combination of strength and speed" etc), and unfortunately he has flopped too. I was terrified when they started hyping up Asuka but thankfully she survived the transition to main roster.

Luger was far from “drawn to the fans” back then. Multiple stories of him not wanting to meet the fans on the Lex express tour exist (on Something to Wrestle with Bruce Prichard podcast for example) He was a prima donna back then. Im just glad he’s changed his ways these days.

Actually, Kennedy did have two great matches with HBK on Armageddon and RAW in December 2007.

Wyatt is probably their biggest missed opportunity. All they had to do was have the Wyatt Family be dominant and for Wyatt to actually have some kind of effect on the roster. Bob Sapp is also a gigantic shoot fighting flop. Guy almost beat prime Big Nog for the PRIDE HW Championship in just his third fight, but these days he's an absolute laughing stock. He's lost 16 of his last 18 kickboxing fights and is on a 13-fight losing streak in MMA. And those kickboxing wins were against noted non-kickboxer Akebono and a guy who was destroying Bob until he managed to fuck up his own leg with a body kick. Also worth noting: none of those MMA losses made it to the third round (never mind the distance), only two made it to the second, and five of them didn't even last ONE MINUTE!

Roman Reigns is actually not a bad wrestler. The best way to fix him is to: stop making him out to be “Superman”, bring him down to earth, have him loose a several matches legitimately, have him struggle for a while, take away that damn vest, change his “i am the guy” attitude. Make him win by skill not by strength. Change his entrance music!

Personally I think Anderson/Kennedy tore it up in TNA with the a**hole gimmick. Especially with Jeff, but that's just my opinion.

I agree with the most part of this list, though I would say that Simon and the writers could've done a little bit more about Mr. Kennedy's TNA run as Mr. Anderson, where he did win the TNA World title twice.

Kozlov actually felt legit to me. I was genuinely worried when he became a challenger to Triple H's WWE title at the time. Bray's failings are 100% not his fault. He's excellent on the mic & in the ring. If they were going for the next Undertaker they should have booked him to win! Such an easy fix. What the hell WWE?

These “Next Big Things” become stars when they get over Yeah , Reigns is the face of the company and one of the least over guys on the roster .. But when you think of it , the 4 main events of Wrestlemania he has been involved in , Retiring Undertaker and being involved in big matches .. Does he actually feel like a star ? NO , Cena from 2005 onwards was fire in the Merch department , became a role model for kids and has always got mixed reaction , he rarely got pure heat [Chicago,Orlando,Philly] . Even if stars not get the push , but being over with the crowd makes us look them as stars For ex - Daniel Bryan , Rusev , Dolph Ziggler Sometimes getting over may not get you success on paper, but having success in terms of titles , main events , etc can not get you over too

Bray Wyatt never flopped, WWE screwed him. He was popular, had a strong following, had a great gimmick and if booked with a hard push, could have strongly gone to the main event for years, but once again, in another case like so many others, he was booked like crap and people got tired of him loosing and the chance to turn him into something huge slipped away and completely disappeared.

So... Kennedy said back in 2010 when he signed for TNA, he didn't want to wrestle past 5 years. He did up until early 2017, and he makes appearances every so often, but he doesn't care to do it anymore. He doesn't want to spend the rest of his life as a wrestler.

Reigns is a flop. He's relevant, yes, but he's not what the WWE intended. The next big thing is Braun Strowman or Seth Rollins.

Although Kozlov was a very limited wrestler, I thought he was actually booked really good back in 2008 when he had that undefeated streak, which is what makes it unfortunate that he flopped soon after

Roman Reigns sure as hell a flop wrestler. He is annoying to watch,lost character,a face that is booed, Cena's replica, forgets his lines on mic, and what not. Maybe you should do a video top 10 wrestler s who got biggest push.

This list should have included Glacier. WCW gave him about three months of video vignettes before his debut, and his actual career lasted about that long.
