We love Lems. We love boots. Lems makes good boots, and it's tough to know which one will be best for you. Lucky for you we've been lucky enough to be able to try 6 of them so that we can share our thoughts on which one is best for whom. The more and more we do this, the more we realize just how much of a spectrum feet are on. Even within a single brand, different shoes (even those in the same category, i.e.: boots) are gonna fit different situations. Lems has a wide variety of boots and as similar as they all may seem on the surface, there are stark differences! I have the Mesa, Chelsea waterproof, and Chilliums. Lems are life changing and I’ve gotten so many people on board with them.

Man those were some nice looking boots & a lot of them too. You definitely have to make a choice of what you want in them for sure. Chris yesterday video was very good about how barefoot 👣 footwear has changed your feet 🦶 man. I saw the big difference in your toes man & i can't believe that. That is so awesome man. This is why I love being barefooted 👣 or wearing flip-flops 🩴 or wearing barefooted 👣 footwear. I guess this is one reason why my feet 🦶 are extremely wide too. I hope you & Eric & family are having a good weekend buddy.

Outlander was also my first 'barefoot' boot. I like them. Lacings isn't ideal, its a bit loose but it's fine. The industry needs to rebrand 'barefoot' though, complete misnomer. Call them 'natural shape' or something...You don't wear them barefoot!! I bet more people would buy these type of shoes if they knew this.

I personally think the word barefoot works, but people interpret it wrong. It’s not meant to be worn barefoot (a lot of barefoot shoes are actually plenty comfy sockless). The point is it’s as though you are barefoot, but with protection. If more companies understood this as well and geared their shoes toward that goal we’d be in a better place with options. Your foot should be able to function inside of the shoe as if your foot were not in anything at all. That is what “barefoot” means

Hey y'all, finally picking up my african ranger and I'm pretty excited. I don't know much about leather care, however. Could you guys ever do a video about which products you recommend for maintaining your boots?

Honestly on this subject I'm just gonna defer to Jim Green. Gareth has a bunch of videos up on KZfaq about cleaning and maintaining different leather types, definitely go check those out!

Great review as always. Is there a shorter Lems hiker you’d recommend for warmer weather? I have the Boulder Grip, the Chelsea, and the Primal Zen but would like something a bit sturdier than the Primal Zen (but less bulky than the boulder grip) for wilderness hiking when it’s hot out.

Closest thing to what you're looking for is the Primal Pursuit. They have a low ankle version and we've enjoyed hiking and even trail running in it! We've got a review of it if you wanna go check it out.

I really like the look of the Boulder Grip but they just weren’t wide enough and the height at mid foot was tight, also tried to plus up in size but still didn’t work. I went with the Chelsea waterproof and they are amazing but I just wish they would build a boulder grip with this width sole.

Yeah the Boulders definitely aren't for every foot unfortunately. They fit ours just fine, but the Chelsea isn't a bad way to go at all, love that boot!

Yeah those both look awesome! I know we've reached out to Groundies before specifically for the Williamsburg, it's tough with European countries sometimes because of the shipping, but hopefully someday we can get our hands on them!

I have the Boulder boot grip, but its a too warm for Southern California winter hiking. I love the comfort and feel but I do most of my hiking in Ojai California and its too warm. I am going to sell them and try a more breathable pair. Any suggestions?

We really like the primal pursuit. Low ankle and mesh top for breathability, but the traction pattern is the same as the mid waterproofing pattern we showcase here in this video. We have a review of it if you wanna check that out. I’d go with that

I’m wanting to try the Lems out. I typically wear Altra lone peaks. So wide toe box and high arches is my thing. Between the Summit and the other Boulders? Which one would you recommend? For work.

The Summit will have the longest lasting outsole, so for work I'd lean that way.

So i work in downtown Cincinnati in an office setting, but i live in the country and hike miles several times a week in the woods around a state lake ( 32 miles around) i want something i can do both in

One of the Boulder Boots in our opinion would be perfect for that. The Summit is a bit beefier and does really well on trails, the Grip has a bit more barefoot feel to it but still pulls its weight on hikes. Both look great in office/nice date/church situations!
