GX Overland Website says something like 6-8 weeks. I already took the GX off road in Big Bear and didn’t have any issues but, like you said, cheap insurance! I might make an install video as well... not sure yet. It’s like twice the effort to film everything lol

Good job with the video! You get a gold metal from me for 2 things. 1. Dealing with the drivers side and KDSS. 2. You got that darn brake line clip off the top of the frame! I still love my sliders and yes the company is great. As you know I rattle canned mine with bedliner spray and have touched it up a few times on bottom from hitting stuff and from my shoes sliding off the top on the drivers side. I use a piece of cardboard between the sliders and the don't and spray. Glad to see your chanel doing well. You should post this up on GXOR. Jamie

Great channel. Just subscribed. Installing weld on sliders from SSO next week and I have KDSS so thanks for the video. Could you tell me the spacing that you have between the rocker panel and your slider. Looks to me to be 1 to 1.5 inches but it would be really helpful for me to know since I can adjust mine as close or as far away as I want.

Great content congratulations. Have you had any issues with your KDSS suspension system? i own an 06 and currently experiencing a clunk sensation and suspect that it derives from The air suspension.

I had no issues. Look up the TSB about drivetrain clunk. It’s a known issue.

How are the brake/KDSS lines holding up? Do these sliders interfere at all with possibly having to service the system down the road? I guess it is nice that you don't have to weld anything on, and that if needed, they could be removed, but you never know.

Thanks for the video. Having children, what are your thoughts about the gaps between the tube section and frame section? My concerns are my kid's foot slipping through and potentially getting a broken ankle.

I think depends on their age. Our kids are in eighth grade and sophomore in high school so they don’t have any issues but if I had toddlers, I would probably get the top plate.

Trying to get into overlanding. Having some difficulty finding a gx470 withoutsnaccidents and like 2+ owners. Any tips? I did leave a note on gx470 I saw in my apartment parking lot. No response yet Haha. I might of freaked them out. It would be awesome see some vlogs of you overlanding too.

It's getting harder and harder to find clean ones. I just picked up a pristine one down here in Socal for $14k. It was from the original owner, completely stock, perfect working condition, 100k miles, meticulously dealer-maintained, and overall in Like-new condition. Got it from some old retired man who I'm pretty sure never even touched the Transfer case shifter or Diff-Lock haha. I saw the post on craigslist at night about an hour after he posted it and already had a line of people coming to see it (and most likely purchase it) the next day. So I convinced him to let me come early in the morning (around 5am), but I couldn't purchase it yet because banks were still closed that early in the day. So I had to put down a cash deposit for him to hold it for me because I knew the next person to come take a look at it was going to buy it and I wasn't going to take that chance. Anyways long story short these GX470's are getting harder and harder to find and everyone wants one so just keep an eye out and have cash in hand ready to buy the 1st good deal that pops up because it'll sell FAST.

No top plate? Does White Knuckle not offer a top plate? I like the up turn style too and that they kick out. I’d get a top plate to make climbing in easier

They do offer a top plate but I decided against it. They have a half and a full. I just got to be careful when I wear heels. 😂😜

There are some fancy Cowboy boots with heels and some timber/logging/wild land firefighting boots with heel too. I’m glad your man enough to rock some heels. 🤣😃🤙👍

KDSS is kinetic dynamic suspension. It came on the sport model of the 470 and comes on all models of the 460.

Problem with any powder-coated steel accessories. The paint chips and within three years it looks like a rusty heap of crap. Rusty bull bars and Sliders.

I'm researching sliders too. Do you think the three u-bolts are durable and strong enough to withstand a hit from a rock or boulder as opposed to the Demello sliders? The Demello Off-Road Sliders bolt on directly on to the frame. I guess he wasn't running the KDSS. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/f7yPgd2qq5acaZ8.html

Even for KDSS? Times are definitely different. When I first got my GX, there were just a handful of companies making anything for it. Especially KDSS. I’m glad to see more readily available options!

@@GXOverland yes, some time ago the GX 460 2013+ has been more popular, there were plenty of accessories for the 470 model, but almost non existent for the 460 2013+, just whatever you do, avoid victory off road company, l think they manufactur in China, there's some issues with quality control

Good to know! It costs a bit more but I like buying things like sliders and bumpers that are made here locally.
