TL;DR: it's because no one, including black people, sees black children as children =/ So short story, I spent New Year's on a boat with my family and another (white) family. We decided to play a boardgame and have a rule so that the kids can have an advantage. They had a 13 y/o son and 8 y/o daughter, and I have a 15 y/o brother. They really tried to say that my brother can't use that advantage because he isn't a kid. When he's literally only 2 years older than their own "baby". People really don't see black children as children. In the best cases, it's just a little boardgame, in the worst cases, kids are killed 😔 Oh, and yes, I know it's different for boys and girls

I say this in the kindness way, biracial women do not represent me and I'm tired of seeing women like Zendaya, who I *LOVE* , being forced to be the black women of the entertainment industry because we are still uncomfortable with strong black features. Anyways... it's been a minute since I have seen a good amount of *BLACK WOMEN* in a lead role (ex. Insecure) *especially* for movies that are not about slavery

As a black girl who has broad features it is actually hard trying to be confident. I'm most insecure about my nose because I feel like it makes me look less feminine. I've never been insecure about my skin color. I'm definitely not light skin but i haven't experienced colorism but imagine that on top of it. Black women who have broader features are always getting called men. And god forbid you have a toned body. Look what they do to Serena Williams. Its okay for black men to have wide noses and big lips but black women get ridiculed for it. It's a hard knock life for us.

Jasmine same!!! I’m a brown skin black girl and I’ve never really felt ignored or insecure about my skin color, more so for being a geek or a nerd and liking music and anime lol. But still. It breaks my heart to see so many black women feel deeply depressed over men treating them like isht for being their natural black selves.

The thing is many men see female partners as trophies - they want what other men value. You'd be surprised at how many men get off on other men envying their female partners. People were really under her tweet calling her sensitive for needing to take a break from twitter as if they don’t attack her under *ALL* her tweets, hell they even make their own tweets/memes/videos etc insulting her on the regular. Yet she’s sensitive? She can’t be human and be upset by hundreds literally hundreds of people bullying her daily. The same goes for Ari, can she not be sad when people are constantly criticising her? *What in the world is wrong with people?!*

A black woman on Twitter said this and it stuck with me: "Black women should refrain from society and let it collaspe. Focus on self-preservation." I think it's about time we stop playing the hero, caretaker, fetish, "spirit animal", and emotional punching bags for those around us. From here on out, we're putting ourselves as black women first and foremost. Everyone else can deal with their problems on their own, as far as I'm concerned.

i couldn’t understand how people watched that live of ari in tears & were able to laugh at her . like it made me emotional , how can people black men in particular listen to celebrities from ari to lupita to even their own girlfriends & mothers talk about the self hate they were taught at such a young age & watch their tears & not feel any type of sorrow or empathy or sympathy. it’s truly disgusting . it makes it worst cause you’ll go to these men profiles & they have daughters who look like the black women they make a joke out of . what are they teaching their daughters ? what are their daughters subconsciously taking in from their “jokes”. i hope they take their money they take from scamming & invest in a sociology 101 class or at least just buy the textbook and educate themselves .

Black women can't have an opinion, always gotta protect the community, always gotta put others before themselves. Can't be fat, dark skinned black women cannot be beautiful, can't be funny. We can't be graceful, little black girls aren't allowed to be young. We express all of this and suddenly WE'RE the bad guy. Like no???? I refuse to see anymore black women in trauma???? Worst part is some of our biggest enemies are other black women caping for the black men and non-blacks who do this to us.

What annoyed me the most with the Ari situation was how Joe Budden set on his podcast and insinuated that Ari had low self esteem for addressing the tweet. So one hand black women are told we are too masculine and not vulnerable or feminine. Yet when we let our guard down and become vulnerable and ask for the support of black men to defend her she's told she has low self esteem. This is why we are not vulnerable we DON'T FEEL SAFE. For me it's the same. I'm light/brown skin but I have African features, the nose, lips, body ect. But I don't fit in because all my interests aren't stereotypically black. I like rock and metal music in addition to rap and r&b. I like watching anime and reading lovecraftian novels. I'm interested in computer programming. Whenever I interact with other black teens my age, I act too white or I'm too weird. this year was my freshman year at college and there were two black girls who lived on my floor who didn't really hang out and do floor activities with the rest of us... i complained about it to my bf cuz i was like whats the deal why dont they wanna talk to us??? and he was like "babe you don't think there might be a reason why they would be hesitant to hang out with a bunch of white girls?" and now i look back on the end of the year when the pandemic started and how everybody was bonding through their disappointment and i wish i had reached out more. That's what this video reminds me of.

Fact is Blue Ivy Carter has already accomplished more than those losers ever will. And she will keep on shining and she will be remembered as an icon, as a success.

Amanda I cannot explain how much I appreciate your channel. Thank you for centering, defending, accurately explaining us. Watching your videos is literally like yelling in a mirror with my reflection. I’ve had to pause this video to rant on side tangents like 5 times already and I’m not even halfway through the video. Best channel on this big red app period!!!!!

i was listening to the dirty computer album earlier and specifically when i was listening to django jane i thought so much about what has happened over the past few days/weeks with twitter speaking out the side of their necks and spouting hate towards black women. it’s gotten so old and tired now and it’s really unfortunate that when social media is at its prime (in terms of promoting, branding, etc.) people are literally being bullied off of these platforms that have become essential towards building up your brand. i don’t even think “bullying” begins to cover the disgusting behavior that people have projected on these women, and FOR no reason at that. truly sick and twisted.

in 2020 we should ignore the BS and post ourselves being beautifully black and unbothered.
