Hi Jo! Honestly, I find this concept very illogical. Yes, it may hurt a bit when you know that someone else doesn't want you to be in his or her life anymore (for any reason), but at least you will know this chapter has finished. If a person is leaving another person just out in the cold by ghosting, even if you met him or her personally, became friends with or even had a closer kind of relationshp looks like everything what happened before means nothing, maybe even was a lie - which, for some people, may totally break their heart. Consequently, it hurts even more than just to know quickly that it's over and done. However, all in all, there's a good proverb for this: "People who really want to be in your life will make a serious effort to be in it." So it makes no sense to water a dead flower. It's better to move on and water a better one.

Dating online always leaves you to feel and think like there's always someone else who's better for you thus you keep receiving messages trying to find "that one" killing off connections with the ones that you already had...

This subject reminds me of my Vietnamese female friend from college (from 2013 to 2018). We knew each other in person, and we hung out many times. We were very close together, she even allowed me to show her some affection to her in public (hugging her, gently kissing her, and even tickling her a little bit). She even showed affection to me sometimes too, and I found that interesting since she's purely Vietnamese (born and raised in Vietnam), and I know that being affectionate in public is not a thing in Vietnam. Until one day, she suddenly stopped replying to my text messages, and my calls went straight to her voicemail, it was like if earth swallowed her. She practically disappeared out of nowhere! Anyways, people come and go, I just moved forward with my life.

There are more fish in the sea. You can not totally know a person online. You have to spend time in person. I met my wife online and we did spend time in person getting to know each other. Sometimes it was challenging but we made the commitment to make it work.

But what if she is busy with her parents? She left the state 2 days after our date... But she completely ignore me, it's so mean. I'm going to leave her alone and call her when she gets back. Women like being chased, right? Women like attention, right? I wasn't THAT stingy on the date, and I played around with her a little bit. I think she is busy and doesn't want me to annoy her with love when she can't even give any love because she is in another state. We said and agreed we were friends. Does our friendship end after a good date, for no reason? We talked on the phone before our date for hours, and we never really texted each other. Our primarily way of talking online was over phone calls, so she knew my personality. I didn't stink, I wore dressy clothes, I did show up in glasses, but I told her I wanted contacts, and I went and got them after our date. Is ruining our friendship okay just because I wore glasses, and I didn't have them on in the pictures I sent her? I even left my glasses off at dinner with her, so she could see me without glasses. I also have a nice car (Mercedes). There are ofc men better than me in our city, but I'm a pretty good catch. A lot of men are creepy with no emotional intelligence, or just want sex.
