Congratulations! I can relate to what you are experiencing. Not too long ago I had a Afro-American& Puerto Rico wedding with 75 guest . I was timid but towards the end of planning, I realized that other people were not being as thoughtful or considerate as I was . At the end of the day, it is your day and it is your choice who gets to be there. You are not crazy ! Stick to your gut feeling! Hire, fire, not invite whomever you like!

My sister had the exact same problem with entitled people when she was planning her wedding. Don't let them make you feel guilty. It's your day after all. 💕

Your friends telling you tell everyone to F off are right (for the most part). This is YOUR day. If you try to make everyone happy, it drains the joy you should be feeling and that should be your test. True, there are some "have to" people that you make accommodations for (grandmother, etc.) but everyone else, let them be happy they're invited and understand why they weren't but nothing gets in the way of you enjoying this day. BTW, just wait util you do the seating chart. Best of luck! ;)

Just stay focused on what you and your fiance want. It is collectively your day. Those who love you will understand if they are or are not invited. Everyone else can kick rocks.

GIRL! You have every right to feel how you feel! I had to excuse my MOH from my wedding because she felt so entitled to everything. I asked her to be a bridesmaid instead of my MOH. She didn’t like her MOH dress and I was legit told that she wants to feel beautiful in her dress as I felt when I found my wedding dress! She ‘forgot’ about my final dress fitting and never even saw me in my wedding dress. It caused A LOT of family drama since she’s my sister in law. Just goes to show how fake some people are

My family is toxic! I think it’s completely normal to not invite some people. I am Puerto Rican with a big family too and not everyone talks to me or asks about me. Do whatever makes you happiest and enjoy your day💪🏽💯❤️✨

I’m going through the same right now. All of a sudden a lot of people who never talk to me or that I literally have only seen 4 times in my entire life, have decided to feel offended that I didn’t invite them. It’s so insulting to me. I feel you. And you are not the bad guy here. Stick to your guns on this one.

Aye mija...yes!!! Boricua families ..it's nuts! I had 300 guests and I had cousins that said they weren't coming and then showed up 😑 Papi invited co-workers...people I didn't even know. One of my prima's who was one of my bridesmaid's didn't help me with ANYTHING and then DIPPED early during the reception.

Hola Chica, Please don't let people steal your joy. No, you are not crazy. You have an attendee limit and budget, and the wedding is for your closest family and friends. Make your list, stick to it, and have lots of fun preparing for the wedding. On another subject - (I was driving and thought about this lol) Can we get more Salsa lessons :)
