I love the one joke in the beginning when Spock says "There's an old Vulcan proverb: Only Nixon can go to China."

I just loved how his eyepatch is BOLTED ONTO HIS FRIGGEN SKULL. So metal.

I always love the lone Klingon who laughs as McCoy's arthritis joke, and how McCoy looks out into the lights like, "ha, ya liked that".

I like the way Chang ordered his ship to fire, just a little hand gesture to the tactical officer, very understated, very cold.

Martok doesn't even get an honorable mention! Now there is a klingon!

Chang is a lawyer, scholar, a General and the "man behind the throne"--Chief of Staff to two Chancellors..there aren't many Klingons can legitimately have a claim to having all of these roles.

I like to think that Chang was so enamored of Shakespeare that he actually learned English, and that when we hear him speak he's not talking through a translator.

Star Trek VI really fires on all cylinders, but Christopher Plummer still manages to stand a cut above the rest. He will be missed 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

He doesn't slum it in his reprisal as Chang in Klingon Academy either. The writing is solid and it gives a much greater insight into Chang's motivations for betraying Gorkon. It really fleshes him out as very much a 'warrior poet' archetype.

I love the way he delivers the line 'I have so wanted to meet you . .' - he doesn't say it but you can practically hear the words ' . . in battle'.

Let's not forget Christopher Plummer's effort as the voice of Charles Muntz, the antagonist in Pixar's "Up".

Christopher Plummer's firey performance is tempered by David Warner's performance during the dinner scene. It is delightful to watch two classical trained actors performing in this scene together.

"The undiscovered country, the future." that sounds suspiciously like foreshadowing, for Kirk, right there.

One upside to Chang's makeup design is that you easily picture him as still retaining physical traits from the Augment Klingon era of his Empire's history. One could say his more subtle cranial ridges and bumps could be because of the treatments he received earlier in life to reverse the effects of the Augment Virus.
