Why I Stopped Posting on KZfaq Recently Well most of your worked out I was having a hard time, heres why!
Ive got a lot of personal issues going on and to top it off i've lost my job I loved. Frustrating but we keep going! So this should explain to you all why Ive stopped posting on KZfaq recently.

"Travel with Gary and Amika"
Welcome to the Official Travel with Gary and Amika KZfaq Channel, a father daughter combo capturing campervan style travel vlogs in and around the mountains, beaches, campsites and wild camping fully off grid.
Gary is dedicated to his daughters future and enjoys documenting her passion for life, which is apparent through Amikas constant giggling and smiles. He is well travelled having visited some 39 countries, however this quickly became difficult to continue when Amika was born. With his love for travel he wasnt going to let being a single father tie him down. When Amika was just 5 they jumped on a plane and backpacked around Romania and have since visited France and Spain twice exploring the Pyrenees mountain range.
In January 2022 Gary bought on old builders van and converted into a fully off grid tiny home on wheels with the aim of getting out and about as much as possible to see more of the world. KZfaq seemed the perfect way to documented these travels and to take a step into the world of becoming a digital nomad.
Gary and Amika both thank you for being here and hope that through their videos they can bring you a sense of adventure, a lots of laughter and with a clear message that you should never grow up and never take life too seriously!

Hi Gary, I was in the exact same postion a few years back. Also refused to leave my daughter whilst working away. What I found useful to give a bit of breathing space - and the one way to actually pay the bills, mortgage etc.. was to register as self employed. They did give an exemption of 12 months for new start ups regarding minimum income. With this, you can apply for child and working tax credit which was a saviour for myself! Not sure what they are called nowadays? I am not advocating a benefit scam, but the short term help we recieved was what kept us both going till I found more suitable work. Very best of luck.

@@TravelwithGaryandAmika Surely as a youtuber, this will allow you to register as self employed? As mentioned, I am not sure what the current system is, but for myself it provided some essential extra income in the short term. And to be honest, it was nice to receive a bit back from many years of taxation.

The Home Assistant looks interesting, I recently reworked my work's public datasets to expose everything through JSON data for Home Assistant (etc.) users, originally for a chap who wanted to know when his bins would next be collected. Felt good doing that.

Good to see you. People need to realise that you have a life beyond social media. What an absolute pain having to find alternative work. Surely your employers could show some flexibility. Better to have an employee they know and trust than to find new employees. Have you ever considered self employment? I run my own business doing cleaning and gardening. Downside is you don’t get holiday pay, sick pay etc but plenty of upsides as well. Love all the tech in your van. I’m a real technophobe and wouldn’t know where to start. 😊👍😊

I had to finish my job in March quite urgently Gaz, and thankfully a new path opened up for me, which is the best thing that happened, and I'm a man with a hell of a lot of bad luck lol! I can't understand businesses that are forcing people back into offices, one COVID still widely circulating and I live with someone who's vulnerable, two if your job is desk based, there is little to no need to be in an office. Good luck with the job hunt. Also find it mad that they don't / won't make allowances for a single parent, crazy. Make sure to leave a glassdoor review! :)

Amika's got to come first at the end of the day but it's a scary decision to make. You have to walk the rocks to see the mountain view though. I've just folded up my business because it was just too much and I want to spend my time on adventures with caed. I don't want to be stuck in the office when I could spend time with him and my older kids. That said have I planned a single thing 😂

Love the tracking gimbal. Honestly thought Amika would pop at at the end of the video behind the camera! Recruitment seems to be quite different these days... I finished a contract end of Jan and applied for next role mid-Feb. Was successful at interview mid-Mar and STILL don't have a start date. I've heard others having the same issue with other companies. Good luck with the search... and getting started.

Utrinque Paratus --- Hey buddy, what is your occupation? maybe worth a change, some think like digital marketing, content writing/editing, loads if free courses out there and it will mean you can travel and work. I am a vet as well and feel for you man. I am researching creating a PTSD/depression channel for YT, a positive one so to speak, getting guests who have suffered, also moving that into ways to cope, fitness, travel etc. I am looking at buying a crafter soon to build out and travel. chin up, chest out, you have a wonderful daughter, you should be very proud

FAMILY COMES FIRST, there is something called constructive dismissal where if a company changes your working arrangements and don't take into account your situation meaning that you have no option but to resign you can take them to court sadly being 21x2+20 and having worked all my adult life the favourite comments I get is on we will get back to you or silence if I had a pound every time would be a millionaire. That's the problem with getting made redundant at my age at the same time other companies are laying people off You must love your air-fryer it is a shame that you don't live near me the local wholesale warehouse (Large American one beginning with C) is selling a much larger one made by a well known brand for about six pounds less.
