I own a saltwater pool (hayward aqua rite T-cell15) and bought a new salt cell last year. The salt level reads 3200 for a 30,000 gallon pool. For the past few years, I have been adding 1-2 gallons of liquid shock each week because my pool does not hold free chlorine. I had my water tested at a local pool store and they told me I should be adding 3 gallons of liquid shock each week. Last week, I added 3 tubs of granulated stabilizer to see if that would help hold chlorine and by the end of the week, low levels of stabilizer. Another local store told me my salt generator is not working and needs replaced. If the generator is not working, does the cell still produce salt? I replaced the screen last year as I was unable to read it and the lights were flickering. Since then, I can read the screen and the lights do not flicker. Is the circuit board bad even though everything seems to be working properly other than I cannot hold free chlorine? Or is it the transformer causing the issue? Is their a way to test to see which is one (or both) is causing the malfunction? Water is clear and pH, alkalinity are good. Last week, I also added 4 gallons of liquid shock. By morning, I saw white powder on the bottom which I assumed was dead algae. I vacuumed on waste. By next morning, brown looking dirt/dust back in the same spots. I can't seem to keep the pool bottom clean, could be from construction dust floating or what else is causing dirt/dust on the bottom 12 hours after vacuuming?

What percentage is good to have it set to?

Hi, I did all the troubleshooting to solve the CHECK CELL error. I have tested the cell and it makes bubbles until the system trips. Then the SuperGen goes green, but after a while, it shuts off and there is not much chlorine generated, almost nothing. So the cell works intermittently with the system, what should be done?

I'm on a Hayward Omni logic system, T15 cell...have you ever encountered the problem where it never chlorinates, even when set to 100%? Mine just says on, has an average salt reading but never instant salt and zero amps. This is my 4th cell in less than a year post build. 😔

Inspect cell is nothing more than a count down clock. Absolutely no sensors drives this function except for the time past after it was last reset.

Why is my chlorinator generating light staying on after my pump turns off??
