I was dating a guy who was a lawyer who had money but his attitude and character was 💩. He even fat shamed me and complain about me not wearing labels, because I couldn't afford them, I dumped him. Then I met my husband who worked at Walmart at the time and training to be a firefighter and he was always loving, fun, supportive, never shamed me for my weight and my clothes, but some of my friends were upset with me for dumping a "high value guy" and "downgraded" to a guy who works at Walmart. I dumped them as friends too and kept that one friend who supported me in dating my now husband. Now my husband is a firefighter, a captain at that and he thanked me for being where he's at now and I thanked him for supporting my goal to be a registered nurse.

Big reason why I stayed single for the last 5 years. I work hard to get where I am and to be overlooked has helped me more than women know. They want the men with money, cool. I just want love and peace, so I found love within myself and my house is always peaceful.

The craziest thing I've ever heard was from a male coworker who was admittedly cheating on his wife. He said he had a loaded shotgun ready for any man who messed over his 3 daughters when they started dating. I asked him, "isn't your wife also somebody's daughter", he replied, "her father is dead". WTH

Sounds like a business partnership, not a loving and nurturing co-parenting/family dynamic. Which I’m not surprised by because for some women, becoming a baby mama to a rich/wealthy man is a “come up” strategy and having/maintaining a plethora of “bad bishes” is some sort of weird flex for the man.

This is why men speaking on women issues/or what women are feeling. Shouldn’t be speaking on women. Cause every guy says this….AND ITS NOT TRUE! 10% of population has “money”. So that means most women aren’t exactly searching for that. Most women are getting with regular joe down the street. But regular joe down the street also have multiple kids, no job, no prospects, no ambition, no goals….but even though he doesn’t have that stuff, he still expects his woman to sit up and work, and take care of the kids, and take care of the house. So what is she getting out of that besides extra kids, extra bills, and stress. I don’t think any woman should leave their house until a man can take her from one home to their home! Why should she leave her household where she is stable and consistent. To moving with some dude who wants to just wait on his potential. And let’s not forget all the dudes that stay with you until they get money, and then dump you. And everytime a conversation of relationships comes up, men want money to be the least important factor. When it is the MAIN factor, because the money dictates what you can and can’t do in a relationship. So if you broke, I can’t marry you, have kids with you, go on dates with you, because you LITERALLY shouldn’t have time for any of that because you need to be getting your money up. Now if you have the money, there is no reason why you all of sudden can’t be around your kids and wife. That’s the excuse poor men, give rich men because deep down. A lot of those men would just pay to stay away from their kids and live their life.

There are no good broke men just like there are no good rich men. Money has nothing to do with a man/woman's character. If I got to be with a no good dude he may as well be rich. I was dating an engineer and he was a high earner. I sent a photo to this guy and he was like I'm boxy lol meaning I don't have shape. I still talk to him. Until like a month after we had an argument and he told me in so many words, that I am not dispensable. And did I walk away? No I blocked him and he begged to be unblocked. Then he was inconsistent, when I message him about it, he was like well atleast I reply when you message. I'm like wow. And that was the end of me being a fool to someone who clearly did not value me. I learnt my lesson. So what you are saying is the truth. He can be an high earning man with a shitty personality, and I don't value money that much that I would let that man destroy my confidence and self esteem by just wanting a 6 figure earner. Not worth it.

I honestly agree with you 100%, and I've wondered why this generation isn't choosing based on love but has traded love for transactional relationships based on money and sex, and I'd rather be single and abstinent than deal with the bs, which I have... But I will say this. I think a lot of women have been done real bad by broke men they loved or men they had to build up just for him to go to the next woman, and their mindset is, if they gotta deal with the same bs whether he's broke or rich, they'd rather go for the rich man. Which I understand. But the only problem is, the rich man comes with not only the same issues as the broke man, but likely also more, because as the old saying goes, more money, more problems. We should just look for a balanced man, not broke, can sustain himself plus 1, ambitious, loving, etc. Basically make sure he's a proven man. It's just harder to find in this generation because most men are treating all women the same, as if all are whores, as if none are abstinent and truly looking for love. Also most men are not rich so these examples are anomalies. The women who are successful at getting these rich men are mostly by today standards very beautiful. Anytime you have to go through the man's assistant so that the child can spend time with his or her own father, it is toxic and means that the man is emotionally and mentally disconnected. The truth is rich or poor, the bad treatment almost always comes with the relationship. It comes down to abuse for something or abuse for nothing. I have never been with a man with deep pockets nor have I ever searched for it. But I got what I got regardless and it was mostly negative.

Generally I agree with you, Mike, but this sounds a lot like pushing "struggle love". There are PLENTY of broke dusties rotating multiple women and children they never see or pay for. ALL adults should make enough money to support the lifestyle they want. When it comes to relationships, both partners need to focus on the strength of character which should be exhibited through consistent action. And, YES, the relationship, and any offspring, should be supported by a solid financial foundation, regardless of income level. Lastly, there are various types of love that contribute to a fulfilling life; romantic is only one type. There are literally MILLIONS of people who live full, headache -free, energy filled, happy lives without a romantic partner. Most of these are women as God made them as a gift to complement men, not the other way around. That's why you see so many bitter, busted old dudes but rarely the reverse. Romantic love is nice IF it's beneficial but it's not the end all be all.

The main issue is that a lot of females need to heal. They need to go seek therapy to deal with a lot of issues that are deeply rooted from pain and trauma that was caused by other people instead of projecting their insecurities, pain, & issues that have nothing to do with men or anyone for that matter. They also need to hold themselves accountable for the poor decisions that they make instead of blaming men or deflecting just to feel more comfortable with what they are doing seeing no need to change. Once they do that then they will be abled to show up as healthier versions of themselves for these men & in turn the men will gladly make them wives.
