I own this exact spec bike, (but in admiral Blue). It is simply the best example of modern Italian bike engineering. Smooth, stiff, silk-like gear change ... everything is top spec. I traded in a Cannondale Evo SuperSix Di2 ... this is definitely an upgrade. Its so much fun to ride, as well as excelling in climbing, descending and generally cycling around country lanes. Roll on summer.

Dave, can you pls be so nice an give a little detail on what you like better vs the SS Evo (himod or not?)? I just broke my beloved SS Evo himod frame in a bad accident and was offered to replace it with a 0 SLR frame now. Tx

Torque settings on the frame and stem are much appreciated by me, much less faff when you are working on one of your six bikes and not having to go in search of torque settings in manual etc.

@@davidarthur As you know the process of getting parts is difficult now. Waiting on some small parts for the Groupset. I am transferring my old SRAM RED group. I recently broke my frame on the top tube, (Canyon Aeroad CF SL), so I am putting that group on the Wilier. I know, sort of seems wrong to not use Campy...looking into that...but trying to find a Super Record set is also hard now in the states.

That colour is so nice. I would buy this if they sorted the lump out and sold with tubeless wheels.
@yashkeough42163 жыл бұрын
That’s exactly how I feel. I’m typically more inclined towards Italian bikes, but as of right now the Tarmac SL7 looks like the better bike to me. Considering the price, that knob just really kills it for me. If they could just fix that, I’d be sold.

what will happen when UCI weight limit will be lowered to 6.5 kg ?
@treyquattro3 жыл бұрын
you said it - it's stunning, and has performance to match. As for the torque settings on the top tube which I'm not too bothered by, I think they're there to try and avoid muscle-bound LBS mechanics from ruining your £10K+ bike by over-tightening the seat clamp.

@alb.19113 жыл бұрын
Can't see any problem with Tubular, they are still the reference and make 100% sense on a hi-end bike. When you crash and go almost under a car because a clincher come off the rim after a flat you change idea immediately.

Why no rim brakes
@BikeLife1543 жыл бұрын
Disappointingly expensive! Great for the rich! My upgraded Caad12 with rim brakes is 6.7Kg without pedals and only cost around £3,500 with the upgrades. If wilier made it with rim brakes it would be under 6kg and that would be something to highlight. As it is, 10k for a 6.7Kg bike is pretty ordinary.

I’m disappointed at another video of another ultra-expensive bike that the majority of consumers wouldn’t find reasonable to buy. I started following this channel because of the coverage of the TCR Pro. Wish he makes more videos of bikes that “normal” people may consider owning.

@Stylish Riding On Cannondale's site, a CAAD13 rim brake ultegra weights 8.2Kg ( www.cannondale.com/en-us/bikes/road/race/caad13/caad13-ultegra ). I'm curious how you shed 1.5Kg on yours.
@BikeLife1543 жыл бұрын
@@Dee-Ell wow that’s heavy! The 13 has become heavy! I have the Caad12 not 13. My Caad12 was only 7.2 kg for a M without pedals when I bought it! They weighed it in the store for me. I have put on a carbon saddle, narrower lighter bars, Dura ace derailleurs, Hunt 36mm Aero Wide wheels, and cut the steerer tube down. That’s it! The wheels shed the most weight. However, I guess I added some weight with the c-bear ceramic BB.

UCI should drop bike weight to 5.7kg as that is such an achievable weight to reach today and would keep technology moving forward rather than just sticking to the same old weight limit that has been in place for such a long time.
