This is the most important video I've seen of yours! I agree 100% with this. I draw it out first, organize it w terminal strips, label everything, use tons of heat shrink, and lay it out so that it makes visual sense with ABYC colors, and lots of switchable breakers. My customers are blown away and are always appreciative. Because of this I don't spend a dime on advertising. I have plenty of work and no one complains about the price when it's complete. Color coded wire is best. In a pinch, you could also mark the ends of a wire with appropriately colored electrical tape.

I'm rewiring my center console as well. First time but I am comfortable with it. Do I have to put reset switches back on the console or can I leave those out. Thank you in advance for your thoughts. -Rick

The thing you may want to mention is it is good idea to keep AC wiring away from non shielded DC supply cables especially for sensitive electronics only thing i have found is in IEE45 but this is for commercial not domestic 18.9 Cable circuit designation For commercial shipbuilding, IEEE Std 45-2002, Appendix B provides circuit designations, to be used in electrical engineering drawing preparation. Table B1 gives traditional system designation prefixes and Table B2 provides system designation.
