Mia it is, but no offense if someone's getting one pimple once in a while and another is getting constant cystic acne and scarring, it would be really inspiring and much more courageous for them to have done this. Maybe it'd be possible for a different video solely based on having a good self esteem when you have acne (not necessarily buzz feed) but it's really important. (I'm not saying that people with mild acne aren't important but ofc the worse it gets the more it effects your confidence)

Izzy I don’t consider myself to have “bad” acne, however my face has not be clear for six years. I used to have acne all over my face, but now it’s just a few in different spots. I always have a few zits somewhere and it’s a big deal to me. I have not gone bare-face to school in 5 years because of it. Just because these people don’t have cystic acne doesn’t mean their acne scars or three zits aren’t a huge thing for them. Like this would be something I would find very uncomfortable doing, but I only have four blemishes right now on different parts of my face.

It's mainly women who care. We wear makeup mainly for women cause we socialize and are open with women skin and makeup wise, but we think it's the men who care. They don't. If they notice they usually don't say anything and forget. Women notice details, men don't. I wear makeup only like 30/365 days and my friends are mainly men so I know they don't care.

Purely from a male perspective, it was actually really hard to tell that any of the ladies weren't wearing makeup (even though I already knew the premise of the video). However, this does shine more light on the pressure women must feel from men, other women, and the media to "put on their best face". But I think it's fair to say that there are a lot (not all) of people who believe anyone's best face is the one they choose whether that be bare or not. There's nothing wrong with choosing to wear a nice suit or dress to a formal event, just as there is nothing wrong with wearing makeup. I just hope nobody feels they have to for anybody else's sake. You're all loved as you are. If you read through this whole thing, bless!

Loved this! I’m gonna talk to the gals at my job and see if they want to try this like on a busy Saturday night or something! I’m a server at a nice restaurant so I think it will be super interesting if everyone does it and then seeing the affects, if any! Side note, when I attended Cosmetology school, it was part of the uniform to wear makeup everyday. They said it’s teaching you to look professional for your future career. I love makeup but hated that. I almost never wore any to school cause I’m beautiful the way I am! Lol! I usually ended up putting it on at lunch anyway, but it was the point. There’s many ways to look professional. Supposedly they kept a record of it but who really knows. I love makeup and beauty but definitely think it’s just as important to love and show off the real you too! Great video idea! 💋🙌🏻💕🖤

I'm a senior in high school and for the past 4 months I have been wearing makeup maybe one day a week and its really nice for me to be able to say that I feel confident in my natural self because that wasn't the truth a year ago.

Same. I didn’t survive a traumatic brain injury (kudos to you) but just genetically I have extremely sunken eyes where I have deep eye bags no matter how much sleep I get and have darkness on my lids so I basically always look dead. I don’t wear makeup bc I haven’t learned to love myself and my face to a degree where I can put on makeup, wear it, and then take it off, and still feel good about myself. So you keep on doing you man and feeling confident. I hope you learn to love your face; dark under eyes and all. 💕💕

same here!! I really look like i have a death borne illness when Im actually perfectly healthy. My skull was cracked at age 2 but I was okay, my only default is Synethesia, I was lucky. I dont know if that relates at all to how I eventually looked; I do have extremely dark circles under my eyes, glasses, some scars, very light eyebrows (barely noticable), shortness in height, big teeth, slight speech impediment and a really big awkward smile. Most mistake me for a preteen because of my baby-face, which only really 'shows' when I wear some makeup to cover up everything else. Still friends and family over time made me so aware of what I look like that to this day I can barely look myself in the mirror. The comments just never really stopped, the world is the same. Makeup has always given me a huge bonus whenever I have to face anyone outside of my own home, but I absolutely detest make-up to be honest. Ive always felt beautiful, but I understand that there really isn't a lifeform out there that could ever look at me for real. In a nutshell I look like a 14 year old dying from a mental illness, or like I just went through a life/death situation. Its horrible..but not at all connected to how I feel and who I am as a person. Ive dealt with the fact I could never show my true face to anyone in existence, however it's a huge relief that many other women out there CAN, especially if the world is slowly letting some ease when it comes to our looks in general. Maybe one day it will be acceptable to have a more natural look, maybe one day we will all have a more natural view-point to beauty in general.

Iranzu Oria I know right! When you think about it makeup has no point unless you only where it because you want to becaue of the art of it. Some where it to cover up there " imperfections" but their "imperfections" makes them perfect. In the end why fake how you look? If you do it for somone else when are they going to know/see the real you?

Chicken Permission same. I wear it when I want to look and feel my best. Often I don't wear it to work. (Or out of the house during the day) Especially foundation/concealer/powder, etc. And I have awful skin. I've just gotten to the point where I'm comfortable that my skin is my skin and I'm not going to feel like I need to wear makeup.

I think it's honestly a thing of habit. Once you get used to looking at your bare face everyday, it stops being such a weird notion. I wear makeup when I want to look more glamorous than usual, because yes, it makes you feel good and special on certain occasions, but I also don't wear any most days when I'm running errands or just going out and about because I feel fine with how I look, and, to be honest, most people don't even pay attention to that (like the guys in the video, lol). At the end of the day, you do what feels more empowering to you, but it's still sad that many women view makeup as a must and no-makeup as a thing to be avoided at all costs, instead of learning there is a happy balance to it, as with all things.
@Tara-id3rk
@Tara-id3rk 6 жыл бұрын
Cherry03m I'm the same way. And no one notices that you don't have makeup on. I like wearing makeup with I want to look and feel my best. Otherwise, my skin is my skin, as troubled as it is. I'm okay with it.
