It is crazy the kinds of metal you can get from the scrap yards, even where I live. I almost always find what I am looking for at such cheap prices.

Dude, you left your milk hands along with milk teeth in your childhood. So unless you've got some spare hands do not be lazy and always put welding gloves on. You've got to get all your body covered. That's not those pesky sparks that you should be primary concerned about, but very heavy and intense UV radiation, which goes all the way down to UV-B range and which is cancerigenic.
