I always enjoy watching your projects, and I have to compliment you on showing your mistake. There are countless KZfaqrs out there, regardless of content subject, who never show any of their mistakes and accidents. This project really turned out looking VERY nice. I also wanted to add that your son could probably make a decent amount of money selling that steady rest that he built for you. I'm sure many of your subscribers, myself included, would like to have one for our lathes. I always enjoy live streams, whether it's woodworking, turning, automotive, 3D printing, etc. etc. Maybe you could give one of those steady rests away to one of your live stream viewers, and make it so the winner must be watching and respond in the live chat to win.

That hollow form was definitely different. For filling in the voids, you might want to consider just using untinted epoxy, which will give a slight contrast but won't cause any problems trying to match colors. Just a suggestion.

Thanks, I was really quite happy with the refill. It doesn’t really take away from the piece, but yes a lighter tint should of been used. Jim

Good evening, Jim. Wow, you put a lot of thought into this piece. I like the ways you save epoxy. Rice, kitchen bags etc. Every day we learn something. Hearing you trouble shoot keeping the bag out of the epoxy is helpful if others want to try a similar project. The new faster setting Designer Epoxy will be just right in certain applications. Excellent.

WOW you did it again. This turned out amazing. I think that that the reason the colors came out on a angle is when you were pushing down on the mold the blue was hard enough to be pushed on a angle. This is the best part of experimenting with a new product, you end up with a unexpected outcome. Keep up the unexpected. That is the joy of life. You sir are one of the best turners on KZfaq. I look forward to making the next awesome project vicariously thru your hands as mine no longer work. Cheers from Calgary Alberta

When you said about lights and a turntable, that's what I had been thinking. Those packs, I believe are also low heat so there would be no risk of distortion of the resin. I did have my doubts at first but that's a lovely form. Just had another thought some lights change colour. Now we really are talking spaceship.

Cool globes! Thank you for the instruction how you do these. Now I know how I can do the birthday present for a dear friend with this little skull form that I have. Maybe you should get a split cup from amazon? Then you can pour several colours at the same time to get cool swirls. It´s maybe a thought for a next peacock bowl, too. UV resin is a great thing, I use it mostly as glue and for little pieces of jewellery. I use a UV plant led lamp for an aquarium and let it set over night; that´s not ideal but my UV flashlight got much too warm. I would love a lifestream! Only with the time zone it could be a little problem for me - I am in Germany. But I would try to tune in! Your spaceship turned out soooo gorgeous! I think I would fill it with some fairy lights like you suggested, and proudly display it on my window. Love it!!!

Wow you took two cores that would have made a couple of nice bowls and with your imagination made it into something out of this world! I was expecting to see George Jetson pop out of the top at the end. A great project. I really liked how the uv resin worked. Designer epoxy

when you filled the bulbs with orange, you held the syringe at an angle ..... so more orange came on 1 side during filling and the blue was printed at an angle. thats what i think happened. love your work, always a joy to watch the vid's!

I obviously saw the finished product at the beginning of the video, but wasn't sure where you were going or how you would get there when you started casting the resin balls. You definitely had a great plan, because this is a really attractive hollow form. The LED light and rotating base that you suggested will definitely set this piece off. Great job!

I would LOVE to see you do a live stream! Maybe you could do a pepper mill with wood and resin? I would like to see the resin be swirled and semi-transparent maybe.. so one can see the fancy pepper corns and how much is left. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
