This is one of the easiest methods to replacing the plate heat exchanger on a Worcester Bosch ERP. It makes it quick and easy, and less removal of additional parts means less changes of leaks!
If you haven't seen it yet, I've also done the other method by removing the hot pipe when you're working on the older models (link below)

Another great informative video CP. not sure why people are saying its easier to take it out the front with pump and block out disturbing miltiple connections. This looked pretty easy to me. Well done mate.

I bet that looked great on the schematic for whoever designed it. Reminds me of years ago we got invited to see a new “design” for an appliance for a certain manufacture I work for. Up on a jig on wheels looked pretty good. Until we looked at the back, and the screws for the plate had been installed from the back. Meaning the entire thing would have to come off the wall to work on… room when quiet when that was mentioned.

Nice bro I didn't think you could drop it down on the ERP's so thanks for sharing! I think if the pipes run up the back you'll be struggling to drop it down like that though, block out job they're not too bad when you've done a few! Take it easy mate 👍

To activate the air purge on the ERP boiler Press [return/spanner] and [tick] both together until Menu 1 is displayed. Use the hot water up or down arrow until Menu 2 is displayed then press the tick button. Use the hot water up and down arrow until 2.2C is displayed then press the tick button Use the hot water up or down to select 0 = air purge off 1= air purge automatic 2 = Air purge mode on

Have one of this to do today but not sure if that’s the fault with it. It overheats and shows 100 degrees but still cold water comes out. shows e9 276 code Changed temperature sensor and check the flow sensor but the boiler kicks in when hot water is being used

That was surprising that it was quite a new boiler and had filter and limebeater but still blocked🤷🏼‍♂️ you’ll be glad to know the cdi compact has 1 screw holding the plate and it comes out the front👊🏼👍🏼

Do you recommend replacing sycron motors?, or just replacing the whole actuator?, if the teeth on the actuator lever have worn out then replacing the motor won’t really help in my experience, replace the lot and be done with it?

I prefer taking the whole hydro block out, taking it out is easy, putting it all back in can be a pain because you need three sets of hands, take it all out and replace prv and plate seals, replace all valve washers and flow and return seals, prevents recalls, cutting into pipes, creating stress and strain on connections whilst trying to speed things up, sometimes it’s quicker doing it the long way if you know what I mean?….
