The stock turret and 100mm is actually the ideal setup. Better turret armor that can actually bounce your own gold rounds minus on the smaller cupola is great.

I would unironically play this tank with the 100mm and the stock turret, as this is a way smaller target AND has better armor. you just have to sacrafise like 10m view range which honestly both arent good at so I'd say its a good deal

I used the stock turret and the 100mm on the 65t and it was basically a discount Liberte, which is workable against lower tiered opponents. I somehow finished with a 54% WR. The TVP VTU, on the other hand, was painful regardless of the matchmaking. I don't miss playing the AMX 65t, but in my opinion the TVP is worse. The saving grace is that tier 9s are excellent; the AMX M4 51 and the Skoda T50 are among the strongest tanks in their tier.

And yes bad tanks can easily give u an ace mastery, I was also playing with my A-44 where i got an ace tanker for delivering 3K damage with a little assistance to my teammates

I think that VK 45.02 A deserves it's own video. I have it in my garage and still play it from time to time. It feels bizzare looking at the opponents I'm facing that are somehow on the same tier as me :p

Panther 8,8 deserves some playtime. It has one of the wors win rates in tier 8 but I believe that since the buff it is an absolute powerhouse if played correctly

You want a bad tank to play, the old ARL44 with the barn for a stock turret and crap stock gun. Now that was painful

I just about finished the grind through it with a 56% winrate, not using any blueprints and only using a tiny bit of free experience. The funny part for me was finding out that the stock gun is... actually probably the best gun? The top gun has absolutely atrocious dpm, so you don't want to get into a lategame situation with it, while the 100mm is really, really bad at long range engagements but you lack the armor to take it close. The 90mm has okay gun handling, managable pen, okay dpm and - most importantly - okay gunhandling compared to the other two guns. Yes, the alpha is terrible, but you can at least provide servicable supporting fire with it without having the standard "i can't freaking hit anything even fully aimed" 100mm experience. Apart from all that, I think that this was by far the least enjoyable tank I have played in a long time. The tank just has so many bad things about it that even if you play it to its meager "strengths", it feels like you are actively self sabotaging. The rare games where you get to do something good don't even come close to making up for the games where you actually don't get to play the game. And remember: this tank used to be WORSE. SIGNIFICANTLY WORSE. Even after the arty nerfs, you regularly get annihilated because your weakly armored hull is GIGANTIC. Can't imagine how bad is must have been before those nerfs. How would I fix the tank? Well, either make it faster (so it can actually hide its hull somewhere without getting transformed into swiss cheese on the way to its destination) or give it the TOG treatment and give it an enourmous HP pool. Both would go a long, long way to making it BEARABLE. Finally, this is the only tank I've ever played where upgrading the turret felt like downgrading the tank. You probably need to do it because of the significant viewrange boost, but it still doesn't feel GOOD and I often thought about foregoing that boost and reinstalling the base turret. Yep, it's THAT bad. Final verdict? If you're not a masochist like me, skip the tank. Seriously. It was not worth it. Just blueprint the tier 9.

I feel like you could stick this tank at tier 7 and it would just be alright. This thing is worse than an fcm 50 t in almost every way, and the fcm 50 t get preferential matchmaking and is OK

I am using the stock turret. It has a much smaller weakpoint on top. The downside is that you would only get 350m of view range, and a slightly lower DPM. But still I think it's better than the upgraded turret.

I'm mid grind on this tank and used blueprints for the first time ever to decrease the amount I have to play this to get to the next tank.

I sold this tank few months ago, I can't compete here in the Asian server where most of the Tier 8 tanks in the match making are premium tanks. There was this game where there's only 3 of us out of 30 who brought tier 8 tech tree tanks in the game and this type of games happens a lot

3 marking this was one of the worst experiences I may have ever endured.

I tried grinding up the French heavy tech tree, and got to this tank and stopped. I either had to use a massive amount of free XP or play through loss after loss.

I first thought this tank was the turtle before the turtle went in the game, but after you learn how to equipped it, it s breezy to play with for tier ix in the tree

Perhaps do a review on the Jagpanzer IV? I don't see a lot of guides about it. It's pretty good, especially if you know how bushes work.

The stock turret is my way to go on this tank. The turret has massive armour and a small weak spot that you can hide easily. The view range isn't really that bad because it's a heavy tank and its view range is going to be tragic either way.

If ever there was a tank that should have been a Premium vehicle, it’s this one. The AMX M4 mle. 48 Liberte is the canonical Tier 8 for this line.

Try playing it with the stock turret!!! This isn't a joke. The stock turret has better defence, because it is way smaller and thinner with a smaller weakspot. Also it has 2° more gundepression. The only downsides are the view range of 350m, that's 20m less than the "good" turret, slightly less dpm (-100) and more aimtime (0.19s). You are trading dmp and aimtime for extremely better turret defence and 2° of gundepression. One of the most important things in WoT are turret defence and gundepression so I think the stock turret is the way to go.

Ive had this tank since it was released, and to this day i´ve only researched the tracks :D I play like one game per several months and then i need to mentally recover.

This tank needs the pike nose removed and give it 100mm on the upper and 90 on the lower plate , along with turret armor capable of bouncing its own tier and higher tier opponents. Keep everything else the same as a balance factor because the line is already focused on the Armour and the pretty good gun.

This is one of those tanks where stock is not a bad option. Stock turret is the same as on the premium, so is the gun it can use. It bounced more for me at least, and I took that over more HP and more ROF. Much as I did on the TVP with more gun depression that made it work better on the stock turret and 88.

it still, for some reason, bothers me when QB complains about the view range of heavys (or TD's) these days... For me it is still the moment they killed one of the best rock paper scissor elements this game had.. that and corridor shijt maps.

To be truthful the 100mm, with the stock turret combo is one of the better loadouts on the tank, but everyone forgets that your gun handling and damage output becomes nigh nonexistant. A legitimately decent loadout is actually the stock 90mm with the stock turret. You get better gun depression than with the top turret, better armor, and also actually can boast decent handling and reload speeds at the cost of low alpha and relatively low penetration for a tier 8 heavy. If you're going to use the top turret. use the 120mm, it's not a great gun, but it's genuinely decently solid, and works very well for peekaboom. You're already sacrificing so much to use the top turret, you may as well use the top gun.

I played it before the new equipment came along. I would say, with the stock turret its playable otherwise its just painful.

I’m free to play and the first line I went for was the French armored heavies and my oh my I thought I was bad at the game when I got to tier 8. But I got though it and I’m loven the tier 9

When the AMX was introduced for the first time, I hated so much the unfair burst damage of the French autoloaders (I still hate them and think they should be Thanos snapped) that the only French tech tree I accepted was the HT line (I didn't want the "ez win" MTs or the "bullshit scout" LTs line), and to avoid the auto I chose the other line. When I had enough losing every time because of the autoloaders, I decided to get only 1, so I looked the AMX 65t and I thought it had the auto because of the name; the moment I found out that it hadn't an auto gun and it was the worst tank in the French HTs line, I switched to the AMX 50 100 and I'm waiting to play with that tank.

I actually found it amazing stock, aswell as fully upgraded when I had it. Idk why but I felt like it was very good, might have been rngjesus but I felt like I was very dominating at tier 8 in most of my matches and average in tier 9

I'm definitely going to use the 120mm on this tank and buy it back as I didn't think it was that bad

TBH I didn't think it was a bad as I expected though I used the stock turret and smaller gun. I was glad enough to sell it but I was expecting worse.

Dude this have me dying just meet one yesterday and blasted it up with AT8 because its french armor is broken and could pen every shot of standard ammo

Used upgraded turret and 120mm gun and it wasn't certainly fun tank to play, but somehow managed to 3 mark it while grinding the t9. Overall not the most terrible tank (atleast for me/my playstyle) Funny thing is i can honestly say i enjoyed it more than is3 as an example XD

In my experience, win rate on a tank often depends on when you play it. I had 2,5k dpg on the 103b (not great, but not terrible imo) and had a 34% win rate. On the other hand, when playing the amx 13 105 (which I aaaaabsolutely suck in) I am currently on 62% win rate.

I still don't understand why he uses the 'upgraded' turret on this tank. It's armour is worse, it has 7 degrees worse gun elevation and 2 degrees worse gun depression. All you get is 100 dpm, 20m view range, 100hp and .2 seconds aim time. It's far less painful to play with the stock turret but he always argues it's worse for some reason.

In my opinion the TVP VTU is worse. No gun dep, no armor and no pen. But its just my opinion.

I have played this tank with 120 mm gun. For me, only reason to take it over amx 100, is that gun. Plus, because you have so bad armor, you also have to trade HP, for which 120 is better. Even soviet IS with 175 mm pen, can with np pen your upper plate armor on hull. Also, I would put Vk auf A as one of the worst tier 9, alone with that tank and O-HO.

I would argue o-ho is just as bad a tank its huge, slow, bad dpm and pentration on both top 100mm and derp gun, blind like the amx 65t and has armor that everyone can pen at same tier or higher with standard ammo. And did I forget to mention that if tanks face hug or go up to the side of it, it cannot depress its gun low enough to shoot them.

293 games played in this thing to unlock the awesome t9, with 47.4 % win.... Combined with the stock turret, the 100mm is the ideal setup.
