Great video as ever Meir and shows that as humans and trader's we are all fallible. I guess that will be put down as a "hope trade" in the trading journal with a note to minimize those going forwards. It was interesting watching you take that loss in real time via the YT channel and how you remained emotionally very stable and even smiling at the end of the session. And your worst day -220k versus your best day 1.29million is a good statistic to be proud..... that is like 6 to 1 ratio!

My goodness.....what a day!!! It happens. Thanks for sharing Meir. Personally, for the first time in 10 years, I forgot to cancel a stop buy limit order on PDD yesterday afternoon that got filled after I had shut down and I got slaughtered on the gap down today. Worst day ever for me too. The market is an expensive teacher indeed....but you are a wonderful teacher and inspirational trader. Thank you. We'll get them tomorrow :-)

I lucked out on a whole .12 cents on plug. I came out just before you before it got back to 37. Had I waited out that last up, it came down nicely. I did wait through that spike initially. I’ve learned a lot, was down $600 and came out with a whopping $90. Thanks for making me a better trader every day!

I recognize this pattern. After the market maker/AI recognized that you are trapped, the price generally runs about 10 your risks. The more loss you net/add, the more it will run.

ouch i took my licks earlier in the month x3 broke 3 rules one took a otc (.0001 to .05 runner took months after run at .03) two a two day 50% oil runner at the open when opec extended no change in oil production three was a double whammy premarket BIO penny runner OUCH funny thing the first two i was in profit BUT was to slow for stop in green last was a repeat of last years bio loss in march hmm... let me ask why when you went 20k to 30k green you didnt put in a stop... lockin in $... gr8 content keep em comin :)

It takes some guts to admit that despite huge experience gained over decades, still one can stay on the wrong side and lose his discipline all together. The dealer can and does go the other way if enough traders commit on one side. More than 78 percent of the candles are drawn by the top tier 1 and tier 2 banks . Accumulation , manipulation, move in the intended direction and finally pull back is the way these bank work all the time . Once enough accumulated they go against the side which the herd mostly have banked on. They keep chopping until that time that they are net net long or short on .

Hello Mr. Barak. The 14 period RSI values for periods till 15 mins were in deep oversold situation at the time you shorted the stock. Even the 30 mins RSI for lower than 14 periods were also in deep oversold situation. My experience says that the stock zooms upwards from such a position. I hope this helps. All the best!

Meir, thank you for sharing this bad day....just 2 points : first, this is the interest rate decision day and the market is always unpredictable ; second I' m trading the S&P for ten years and the market is really manipulated now, and probably it does not follow our logic (all the time) anymore.... and once again we know it all of us, look how it is difficult to escape our believes.

I intended to put a 'STOP LIMIT' order at 649 short...but unintentionally put in a LIMIT at $649 -- got an immediate fill --- and then had to cover at a loss

Meir , sorry for your loss.... but two days ago you did video and you talked about the strongest reversal which is the "spike" reversal , at 6:39 (los angeles time)......at the 9th candle ... we can see strong spike , why did not you close your position right when you saw that spike ? ..... that spike showed me that TSLA going to reverse and go up. Hey, I am sure you make it back. May I ask you a question ? What percentage of you position do you usally sell, when you take your partial gain ? And when do you usually take your partial gain, when you reach your 1:1 target, or your 1:2 target ?

As long as you don’t sell you don’t loose it correct? You’re what they call “holding bags” am I right? My apologies for the questions, I’m fairly new to this about a few months new.

I usually trade strictly by price action, but lately I have been trying to understand what is happening in the macro economic backdrop. Wednesday was not a good day to go short. The reason I say this is because Fed Powell was talking, and the market expected bad things. In other words, bad things were priced in. The market gapped lower, and it looked like maybe it would go lower like you said. However, I thought that since Powell kind of messed up his speech last time, THIS time he would say exactly what the market wanted to hear. And he did. And of course the market rebounds from that. So I went into the day expecting the gap down but also expecting a reversal. I did take some long trades on the early dip and they worked out OK, but I didn't ride the full spike upwards when the Fed released their data. I tend to be scared of big news (because being on the wrong side can mean HUGE losses), so I had closed my positions before that happened. I took some small long trades after he spoke, and they worked out as well. Sorry for the long comment. I guess my point is, if we are going to be biased, we might as well base it on what we think the other market participants are thinking, not what we ourselves would like to believe.

Man this hurts my soul. Nothing worse imho in trading than letting a winner turn into a loser. And knowing when to stop is a big deal. I’ve heard you say in other videos that 3.6% of account max downswing risk allowed in one day. Why is following rules (not saying you broke yours) so freaking hard?

Maybe you should have checked the price of Bitcoin, as that was going up all day and Tesla own loads of Bitcoin. I am sure you will bounce back and thanks for sharing the videos
