The long awaited showcase mode is here and man, was it interesting! I’m eager to hear what everyone’s thoughts are in regards to it!

@teeboysmith2413 Exactly! I was shocked when they didn't. You can't even recreate the match in the game. They won't allow you to do a special guest Referee in a Hell in a Cell.

Coulda had Rock v Austin Austin vs Scott Hall Triple H vs Batista Triple H vs Taker Taker vs Kane Cena v JBL Cena v Rock 1 Kurt v Orton v Rey So many misses in this mode to under deliver. Each match could’ve been a fully animated cutscene. Showcase mode been bad since 22. The best match this year is Bray v Cena.

I agree with everything you said, I kept saying, "even if you dont play each mania, you should be able to unlock each arena with Graves talking about them" as a big fan of the mania ple....to me this is the best out of the modern showcases since 2k22 but just not good....the overall game however is pretty fun Also....the fact that you ONLY unlock the wrestlers through the 40 years pack and not the arenas is a scam

Yeah man, I really wish we got more Wrestlemania Arenas. I know we got 17 but still. I was looking to have a lot of the newer wrestlemania arenas too.

im done with wwe games, this is the last straw, i cant beat showcase mode, im stuck on brock vs undertaker, i keep trying to do the combo move then end with X but it never works, this isnt fun at all and i always lose in MyGm mode, the only reason i wanted this game was we finally got 2001 austin and rock, this will be the last time i ever buy any wwe games aslong as 2k is still making them

I understand man. That's how I was when 2k20 was released. I skipped out on that as well as 2k22 due to specific problems. The game is still fun to me, but just really dropped the ball in regards to the showcase mode.

Make sure you're doing it in the correct location (IE: outside of the ring) These objectives were super annoying, but I also got caught up something similar...and all it was I needed to be either outside of the ring or inside.

@sam5k I definitely agree. I was caught on that same match due to the fact that I wasn't hitting the correct variation of the Curb Stomp. There were two, and I kept hitting the incorrect one, which wasn't aware of until after the irritation started lol.

WWE 2k24 would have been as great as WWE 2k14 by having more matches. I remember playing WWE 2k14 and it has so many matches from WM1-WM29. It was truly a masterpiece for 2k games have done. On the other hand WWE 2k24 could have done the same thing. When I first played WWE 2k24, I was surprised that 40 years of wrestle mania skipped some matches which didn’t make any senses. This game would’ve been entertaining by putting more matches and wrestlers. WWE 2k24 has 295 wrestlers. I was hoping we can get at least 350-375 wrestlers in one game.

@@Omega_925 I would have loved to have had Flair vs Michaels at WM24, Batista vs Orton vs Bryan at WM30, Bryan vs Kingston at WM35, Reigns vs Edge vs Bryan at WM37 or Bianca vs Banks at WM 37 but it's obvious why those had to be excluded unfortunately...

I got a question, when you (or anyone else) played the WrestleMania Rumble at the end of the game, would it not matter who you picked or was I just unlucky? I chose Undertaker and entered #1. Is he always out at #1, or does it not matter who you pick, that wrestler always comes out at #1, or was I just unlucky as I said?

Whoever you choose to play as will always start off in the ring. They made it challenging by having you have to survive all 29 other contestants.

Thank you. This convinced me not to get it. The classic WWF names were what attracted me to it, but it doesn’t sound like they really shine in this, which is an absolute dealbreaker for me.

I understand man. Aside from the showcase mode, it's still a fun play for me. There are good bit of things that are wrong with the game but I was able to make due and still have fun regardless. @@Omega_925 Of course! Thank you for your video. I’m not familiar with WWE 2K games or wrestling, in general, these days. However, I LOVE classic guys like Andre The Giant, Macho Man Randy Savage, Hulk Hogan, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, and Ultimate Warrior. With that being said, would you consider WWE 2K24 is worth it for me - if that’s my main draw?

@jimbodavis1944 It depends on what you would want to do on the game. All of the legends you listed (excluding Hacksaw Jim Duggan) are on WWE 2K24. So if you were planning to do matches with them on single player or maybe play as them in Universe Mode, that could be fun. You also can play as some of those legends in the Showcase Mode which may be fun for you. It'll all boil as to what you're trying to do. If any of what I mentioned is something you're interested in, then I'd definitely recommend the game for you.

They were way too lazy with this showcase. I definitely think there was at least one match from every mania they could've included. They missed out on so many iconic matches that realistically could've been included. They really should've just called it "Best of WrestleMania" cause that would've been a more accurate title, 40 years of WrestleMania is just misleading

I haven’t bought the game yet but I was so disappointed to hear that there was only 21 matches. They should have at least 39 matches with at least one from every mania, I remember 2k14 showcase being so fun and hoped we would get almost a re do of that with better graphic but nope why would they do that lol. I think if they did one from each year it would be so fun to be able to play in every arena. Is this version of the game even worth buying?

Honestly, aside from the Showcase mode, it's still a fun play. But for me, I enjoy GM mode or trying to get all of the achievements. It's just up to you if there's something the game offers that you'd like, you know? The showcase fell flat, but it doesn't mean the overall game fell flat too.

@PannerChucker I was looking to buy the 40 Years of Wrestlemania edition but I don't see myself using much of what it comes with. The main thing that draws me to it was the Wrestlemania 40 arena that'll release but that alone isn't worth spending the extra money. Whatever you choose to do, I'm sure it'll be best for you man. Seems like they are using the new gen system to praise their own product, they should have two gameplay mods, and yeah that Corey graves commentary is too much should have brought in a legend that was at a lot of manias, I guess Corey graves is the only commentator that doesn’t dirt in him because clearly lawyer would be a better choice, or why not have a mick foley or something just felt like a fluff piece.

@@Omega_925 So Microsoft support advise you are only buying the licence to use digital games and the software company has the right to withdraw the game or access to it no matter what you paid for it. So 2k can withdraw access to dlc etc . They can choose to close servers and content you paid for.

40 years of Wrestlemania. That only covers 15. I was so pissed to see them skip most of 2000's Wrestlemania which are the kings. But I'm even more mad they didn't go all out and give us a match for each Mania like 2K14. I'm sorry but it's not too much to ask, I would rather them get rid of MyGm to focus on it.

After seeing what 2k14, I had high standards for this showcase mode. That's why I was so disappointed. I know they covered the eras, but after seeing what we got before compared to what we got now, I was just baffled.

having the live action cut scenes with just about everything blurred out makes them unwatchable. i skip over them. with all the blurring it reminds me of old pixelated early 90's Sega cd games

The only match i didn't like was John Cena vs. Brey Wyat on the 2020 wrestlemania card. Is was during covid, and it wasn't no audience. That match was very stupid.

Since they did that match, I was also looking for the Undertaker vs. Aj Styles boneyard match, but sadly, we didn't get it. I mean it probably would have been primarily cutscenes anyways

The main thing that was a pain to me was playing for about 2 minutes and then being interrupted by a cutscene. Just to then play again for another 2 minutes and another cutscene happen 😭💀

You do unlock a lot of legends by finishing this mode. There are a total of 63 unlockables between the mixture of superstars and managers. Now, as far as who you can unlock, it's a lot haha. Ranging all the way from Batista to Yokozuna, and much more.

Man, I skipped out on 2k20, 2k Battlegrounds, and 2k22. I got 2k23 though and it was fun. But I am seeing a lot of similar (but also new) stuff. I get what you're saying though

@@Omega_925 I watched one guys review he said how bad it is and how it keeps crashing and u randomly lose your saved progress and unlockables and have to do the showcase over and no commentary and pointless do running move do Irish whip and he said it's basically just a tutorial and gets old really fast, but it's we're in 2024 and they are still having problems with crashing and losing saved progress. Maybe they should let someone else take over making WWE games.

Unless you bought the 40 years of Wrestlemania edition. In buying that, you receive everything from the showcase without actually playing it. Among other things, of course. I would just skip all the cutscenes honestly man. It'll save you so much time
