There is one major thing missing from the wyze smart plugs, you need to add some active wattage monitoring, and a calendar recording system for the wattage usage. Each individual plug should be able to tell you how much wattage is currently outputting to its device and you should be able to see a graph showing each individual months and each individual months total usage. The topgreener smart plugs do this for very cheap, and it could be possible to do it with just a simple firmware update. Lots of us use these in our Gardens and to power outdoor lights, it would be fantastic to be able to tell how much each plug is using and total wattage per day and per month.

We’ve only had the cameras up and running for a short time. kzfaq.infoUgkxOXxsTZ3ptV_Pk0fFl8bNZvVqeoqBQFwe So far we love them! I got the outdoor mounting kit for them and they were easy to install. Once you download the app, it walks you through the very easy set up. The clarity, and range is awesome. I am thinking seriously about adding another camera or two to my 3 camera system. The price is lower than a lot of comparable systems.

you can buy the pan cam and get a waterproof cover off of amazon. mine works great. I've not had any problems with weather affecting it

I use a Wyze cam outdoors and it works great all of the bugs are attracted to the IR. Used to get these crazy alerts until the Wyze update for person detection.

Other things that would be very interesting is a wyze outdoor flood light and Camera combo and possible wyze smart outlet and Smart Switch replacements to replace dummy switches in our home circuits

I wired my regular flood lamps up to a wyze plug and used my wyze pan cam looking out the back window to detect any motion. Then set a rule that if it sees motion then it turns the smart plug on... BAM!!! SMART FLOOD LIGHT. Lol

So quick question.... If a person were to plug in their Wyze V2 camera into this futuristic device, could that person effectively be able to turn their camera off and on w/o having to reset up the actual device... (i'm looking to purchase but want the ability to turn them off at the drop of a hat w/o necessarily using the wyze app... not because i'm lazy but because i'm looking for a quicker on/off option)

If WiFi is out you would just use your device as if it did not have a smart plug. IFTTT support is already there: ifttt.com/wyzecam

Hey there, Alex! Regarding the Plug's power specifications, it has an Electrical Input of 100-120 VAC, 60Hz 15A and a maximum Electrical Output of 15A. Then again, if you're referencing the actor's sweet, luscious curls, we don't know if any straightening iron can handle that. Happy holidays! :D

My cams have been playing WAY SLOW on play back. My notifications come to me 15 mins +++ after the motion was detected. Has there been a FIX to the play back problem yet???

@@aCalmHinduCow yESSS maybe I need to again. They told me about 2 wks ago they are having issues and they'll email when it's fixed. My playback is running slow as hell. 5 minutes goes by trying to watch a 1 minute playback. They told me stuff like it may be the modem?? Na, my modem is 2 feet away from me and my cam is 10' away phone in hand and yeah. 15 minutes sometimes I get notification letting me know something moved. Kinda useless as I need it for a security cam in our lobby. By the time I get the notification the person is gone already.

@@soulsurfer4441 Hmm. That's weird. From what you're describing it doesn't sound like a bandwidth or buffering issue. It sounds like a codec or frame rate issue. Definitely report it again. And also strange that some get instant and some get delayed notifications. Mine are within about two seconds. I can trip a separate sensor or the motion sensor on the cam itself and it almost immediately lets me know on my phone. Not sure why some would have a different experience. Are you on iOS or Android? I'm on Android. And have you upgraded to latest software version?

I have Android Verizon. Once in a while it's within seconds but the last few weeks the PLAY BACK MODE has been playing back slowly. Support said "many" people are having the same issue and they're working on it. Then they suggested to go back and use an older version. I did. Still doing the same. Power cycled the power/cams no difference. I use these facing outside as security cams and it's a problem. It's important we get instant notifications. Oh well I'll send in a ticket thanks bud.
