I think the person behind all of this is Cassandra Nova. In the comics (E is for Extinction), Cassandra used the sentinels to attack Genosha due to her hatred for mutants, especially to her brother, Charles Xavier for trying to kill him. She probably brainwashed Trask to restart the sentinel program, as Trask already knew the sentinels were dangerous to humanity too way back in Season 1 in the original run. As the three part finale is called Tolerance is Extinction, Cassandra is the season finale villain

I love that Gambit went out protecting morlocks. People who have read the books will definitely know why know why... I never got the whole story though the trial of Gambit but this was cathartic (I think I used that in the right context). Talking about wokeness and stuff people my age are saying I'm 46. I was a hardcore X-Men geek and I'm not embarrassed to say it. I love these characters, and thank Jesus that this is being taken seriously. I've just started again grabbing books here and there I tried to get a new one once in a while but mostly back issues. If anyone likes X-Men men,they're sticking those books in the dollar bins... I love this era because there is a core team.. too many characters can spoil a book or a show. Also the show is representing what the X-Men are all about... And it's more than just acceptance and I like that that. Hopefully audiences young and old are enjoying this as much as I am. It's really not trying to be the 90s book so I like that. Gambit has always been one of my favorite characters, they envied what he was over at Image, he has style, and substance... Mysterious and intriguing as Logan.... I hope Bishop comes back or wolverines gonna be carrying that burden. There's a lot to be done with Bishop. He was a straight killer in this timeline would be extremely Jarring... I never understood the mutant hating villains of Marvel. They want to destroy mutants, but always do it in a way that puts them in a sympathetic or martyr position. If they actually cared about how dangerous mutants can be (mainly the omegas), they would show it rather than complain about it being possible and go on a genocide. Have mutantkind destroy itself, find a way to pit them against each other, let them be their own worst enemy. The Hellfire club already does this to humans by arming and funding its worst members, so why not do something similar? Why keep putting them in the position of "poor little superhumans"?

Maybe Jean is better off with Wolverine while Scott with Madelyne because since the incident back in episode three as Scott and Jean were struggling plus from what I learn on the X-Men '97 Series information Wolverine still have feelings for Jean.
