Today we knock out the steering on the Yamaha YZ450F buggy. We install a steering rack, build some shock tabs, and do the tie rods. We will be putting this buggy on the ground in the next video. We also get to use our new Avid cnc plasma table on the first project!

The chassis is looking sweet! The shop is starting to look a bit cramped. Might be almost time to turn the shop into a garage and build an 80’ x 100’ pole barn for that elbow room you’ll be needing.

If you look a the first Yamaha banshees they had what’s called a J arm in the front I think from 87 -90 that are very close to what you got and a lot of people love them

You shouldn't worry about limiting your downward travel with that rack because those shocks are what's going to limit it....actually it's the springs but same thing

The only thing i would have changed is move the shocks behing the upper arm, to protect the shock. But thinking about it, i'm pretty sure a chineese pogo stick is a lot cheaper than a custom A-arm so it make sense to have done it this way.

Nest those parts tight! I nest as tight as possible to avoid wasting steel. I keep 1/16-1/8”. Twist and turn to puzzle the parts together. It’s a game changer Ger right?!

I just started watching your channel not too long ago but I do have a question on this build. Hopefully you see this and answer. On your front suspension. Why not use a cantilever system? It looks like you have enough room and it would give you more travel.

So glad you’ve done well and made it and not hating but this always happens DIY motor sports channels, you’re success is your demise. You’re no longer the shade tree mechanic like us you’re a machinist in a proper shop something most of use will never have or even have access to without paying for “custom” work somewhere. Meaning you’re builds are no longer stuff I could do or incorporate into my builds. I’m not making that steering bracket with my acetylene torch, buzz box and grinder

Hey RBG can you do a video on this product for me? I'm trying to find information on how to actually tune the baseline function of it, but can't find anything. EC Carbs part #: 196F-42-G160 Adjustable main jet for 196 to 212 predator stock carbs. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/n7CppKmd1ZOlmJ8.html I made a short video on what all it comes with, I think it has potential for a "box stock" performance mod.
