Story about two people falling in love and the stresses of life that could be related to by most people.
On the surface, the thought of Kyouko Hori and Izumi Miyamura getting along would be the last thing in people's minds. After all, Hori has a perfect combination of beauty and brains, while Miyamura appears meek and distant to his fellow classmates. However, a fateful meeting between the two lays both of their hidden selves bare. Even though she is popular at school, Hori has little time to socialize with her friends due to housework. On the other hand, Miyamura lives under the noses of his peers, his body bearing secret tattoos and piercings that make him look like a gentle delinquent.
Having opposite personalities yet sharing odd similarities, the two quickly become friends and often spend time together in Hori's home. As they both emerge from their shells, they share with each other a side of themselves concealed from the outside world.

Now you guys see why all the manga-readers said during the anime first season was missing so much! In the manga, you get to see all this stuff in the "right" order. I really enjoyed the anime, but since I had read the manga, I knew so much more than what was shown in the first season and had all this background knowledge of the characters. The "Missing Pieces" really are the missing parts of a really great story once you put them all together.

@@2006Whippet This is not actually a watch list, because the anime actually pulls chapters from the manga all over the place. What I mean is that a single episode can comprise of 3 to 5 manga chapters from different parts of the manga. So what I have done is take all the episodes of both seasons of the anime and identify the manga chapters that each episode references. Interestingly, there are a couple of places in the second season that (narrative by Hori) that were written specifically for the anime and did not appear in the manga at all. @mezacharia Yeah, that seems like it'd be a lot of work to try and watch it in order. I hadn't read the Manga in a while, so I couldn't really remember where all of the scenes fit.

Yo what is up with Sengoku and Yanagi this ep😂 Lee's face killed me through the ep LOL by far the part i like the most in Missing Pieces are the Sengoku moments. He's my favorite since S1, and i like how he's getting some shine in here
