When I first watched these videos I had a dial-up connection and had to wait until it was loaded to watch. Those were bad days, I had no money and really needed yoga classes - this was my first and I'm stil doing it. Thanks a lot, Esther! Best regards from Brazil

These videos were the best thing I could have ever done. I began with no previous knowledge of yoga, I had knee problems that hindered even the slightest activity. After doing this sequence for a week, I was able to go back to running miles every day, and depend on these videos for my knee problems and overall health. Thank you and keep posting please!!

You can practice the warm up, beginners part 1,2 and 3. once you're ok with those, just start experimenting with some of the other video's. Have fun! Esther

I loved my yoga classes,I used to take them at my college for a credit,it had amazing music and I never missed a day.....yoga is my stress-reliever =]

You can practice yoga as much as you want, twice a day is great, once a day is good too, add on to this sequence with the yoga for beginners part 2 and 3, when you get this to lengthen the sequence and than start trying some of the other sequences out. Hope this helps, All the best..

Hi, 17 is a great age to start your yoga. Find a beginners class and I'm sure you will be fine. Everybody is the same in the beginning we all need to learn, that's perfectly fine. Yoga is non competitive, everybody takes it at her/his own pace. Yoga is great for relaxing by balancing the body, it is going to benefit you greatly, trust me, go for it!!! The three videos are brilliant. I'm totally new to yoga, so they are perfect. All the moves are learnt carefully and correctly then put them all together for a sun salutation. Brilliant! Esther and Yogatic, thank you!!

Hi Halewena9, Welcome to yoga! do as much as feels good, just don't push it! It really depends on how fit or unfit you are...You can try and do the 3 beginners ones to start with, if 3 are too much start with 1 and add one as soon as the one feels easy enough! Enjoy doing it and listen to what your body tells you! Esther

I love yoga! I actually used to dispise it when i was 15 years old. Now i'm 18 turning 19 very soon and i appreciate everything it benefits me.

I've never done yoga before, don't even have a mat. Thanks Esther, this was a great simple exercise for beginners, not too long or tricky. A great way to wake up my stiff body in the morning!

I'm an extremely tense person. I'm also a somewhat inactive person (now). After watching/doing this video once I could feel a strange relaxation and a very pleasing ease of movement throughout my hips and an instant improvement in my posture. I've just discovered yoga for myself and I'm VERY excited. Thanks for this video!

I am trying to get back into my yoga routine after being run around by the gov on disability for 30 years. I have cousins from India I learned all this from, but the British side of the family thinks it is evil for women to get into these poses. Just some background to show how grateful I am you have put these videos online. I can not afford to take classes, so this is reminding me how to do the poses. I am asking the heavens to Bless You for being so kind and unselfish. namaste'♪

This really is a perfect example of beginner yoga. These a very basic asanas by my standards and I have only been practicing for a month. Everybody moves at a different pace with yoga, but that's no reason to diss the video...

@PrincessRawr1 Hi, I would call it working your edge, sounds better :-). So its about finding your edge, and gently working it a little to a degree that your body doesn't go and lock up on you to protect itself. This takes practice, to find that place where you work your edge , but not push it! I will make more vids on flexibility soon :)

I am over weight and have been doing yoga for about 2 months now... and I love it, it is a great way to stretch out after a work out. :)

From what I understand from my instructor, it's more about keeping your spine aligned and your hands making contact with the floor. It's okay to bend your knees a little until you get it.

@pinaygemstone It can definitely help to tone your body and loose excess weight. Look at my series yoga for weight loss on the website. There is a search box on the home page if you fill in yoga for weight loss the 4part series will come up!

I saw a comment that said to not do yoga because involves spiritual practice. Yoga is sometimes used for spiritual practice but does not have to be. For instance I am using it to become more balanced and lithe. This video was very helpful and my compliments to the instructor. I will look at her other videos to widen my knowledge on yoga poses.

I suffer from chronic back pain and have done for the last 4 years, I have let my pain take over and learnt to live with the pain. I am 24 and need to be healthier and fitter so I am giving Yoga a go. The only problem is I am so inflexible that I cannot touch my knees without bending my them. I struggle to get socks on in the morning and getting my trousers on too.

Both my knees are really bad and this was my first time trying Yoga. I have to say I liked it and it really didn't bother my knees much. I need to be healthier but use low impact exercise too. I plan to continue to follow your videos. Thank you so much!!

That would be very good, than go to Pt 2 and 3. You can do it more often as well.

This is GREAT, exactly what I've been looking for! Keeps it short and accessible so I can realistically fit a small session in every day without imposing on my time and other responsibilities too much. I also like the additional sessions for when I'm ready to stretch my wings! I'm a supple-ish 30-something novice who's tried yoga a few times before but never managed to keep at it - then again, I haven't found something like this video before! Great instructional video. I have congenital dislocation in my left hip but I found most of the moves easy on my hip. So thank you for the beginner stuff!

hold the poses anywhere between the 5-15 breaths, holding them longer works more on your stamina. sometime it takes time for your spine to lengthen, think about it in your daily life to stand straight and imagine space between the vertebrae, this will have an effect on your practice! good luck..

Yoga is amazing! If you really want to connect your body and mind, become more flexible and look your very best, you can do it through yoga. There´s no other seriese of movements that does as much for your "whole" body...

I'd suggest for some people to try a yoga breathing video first -- I tried this video on its own (after not doing anything yoga related for a few years), then again after watching a yoga breathing for beginners video, and it made a lot of difference for me. I look forward to trying your other videos!

This was great! I take a yoga class at my office gym and it is anything but a beginner's class. So hard to keep up. This video was clear and really explained the basic poses! I will continue to practice with your videos with hopes of somewhat catching up in my regular yoga class!

I'm a strong believer in not going to gyms for getting slim, I'm 22 (male) and was 190 during the summer. Now, 175 and in great shape since I started exercising at home. I just use a resistance band and for dumbells I place books in backpacks and weigh it out on my scale. :D
