Hey Eric, I drifted off from playing about five years ago. You inspired me to first start playing again then. Things in my life have turned around a bit but still want to get back into playing. At 61 I'm kind of bored of drumming so I picked up an electric guitar and started learning from KZfaq video's and,man what a struggle. The man is simply the best teacher ever and I can play this after two watches and it sounds great.I am55 years old and played bass in apunk band back in the lats 1970's and only now I am learning the sweet basics of the guitar, believe me others have tried this guy is the best,my love is the blues now so this man is showing ushow to play and how to mix stuff,pure cool

That is an 80s Lotus Lawsuit Gibson ES-335 copy, which you can't get anymore. Ibanez makes some similar in the Artcore series, and Strats work well for blues. Check some out with the link in the description of this video! Thanks for watching!

I can relate! I took lessons from a teacher for a year and he taught me the same scale the whole time and did not show me how it applied to any music that I was playing. To me your tab is upside down, so I just re write it on my own tab sheet, which is a good thing anyway, for people to write it themselves. Thanks again for taking the time to do these lessons

Hi man! Sorry about the upside down TABS. When I first started posting videos I did that to get folks for do exactly what you did. Re-write them. You get a new understanding of strings and fretting when you do this. However, I got so much flack for it, I decided to go with conventional TABS, so all newer videos reflect that. Eric thanks so much for a great lesson for beginners and keeping it easy yet interesting. To many lesson videos on youtube are called beginner but then try to get too fancy and complicated. Only thing I would say to add are some comments like -"this solo section is over bars 1 & 2" or "this solo section is over bars 5&6 where we change to the 4 chord". This helps to know where different solo sections are in the big picture.
