him falling asleep while doing stand-up for the first time reminds me of an old Patton Oswald bit where he talks about some heroin addict, giving the best set he'd ever witnessed because he'd start telling a story, pass out, wake up during another story, saying bits and pieces and somehow managed to still tie the whole thing together 😂 "never give a crippled crab a crutch"

I have Pectus Excavatum (depressed chest) so I feel your pain Steven! There was nothing as instantly depressing and enraging then someone’s averted gaze and then the inevitable “what’s that?” People are cruel and life is unfair but it’s good to reflect.
