Man, after my own heart you have so many positive qualities and your deliberate misapplication of convention for short videos is one of them that I admired now that I didn't know about before. It's very easy to weird people out with shorts that are deliberately weird and I don't see enough people taking advantage of this. You're just actually relatable enough that your jokes are funny and make sense to even dumb people. I'm not good at that. But I do take advantage of the fact that it takes a few seconds for people to click away to mention that I'm like eating a dog and somebody's yard and stuff. And then I know that it weird people out and that's I'm so weird that that's a good feeling for me

Also, it's so frustrating to me that Black & otherwise marginalized creators (esp creators who are multiply-marginalized) have to walk on eggshells on social media bc of grounded fear of widespread harassment. There are *so* many funny, thoughtful creatives out there, but out of legitimate fear of online dogpiling & abuse, they stifle their creativity in order to present themselves as unambiguously & uncontroversially as possible. I love Fiq's humor & am glad to see videos like this. But I equally totally understand why he makes his essays as clear & logical as possible, to the extent that his jokes often don't get room to breathe.

All the rage over on the science part of youtube If you only care about short term gains, what you're really going to want to do is make people unreasonably angry though
