Thanks for including my interview with Sammy in the video!! FOR THOSE WONDERING, I am still in touch with Sammy and he is doing well! I do know the reason he left the internet but he did ask me to not disclose anything, as it does involve some personal stuff. Honestly, Sammy was spitting fire on the Rant Against the Sonic Fanbase with stuff like "Your fantasies can't ever be quenched" and "When will you learn that your actions have consequences." I hear “your fantasies will never be quenched” and think about the way some Sonic fans will treat certain games. Sonic Colors went from “the game that saved the franchise” to DOGSHIT Sonic Adventure 1 went from goated to a 50/50 chance of it being considered shit or good People unironically think base 06 is peak And most recently, people are starting to shit on Mania more, some even propping up Superstars in the process.

I knew a kid with progeria in my school. I was like 20-something when I learned that this condition usually causes a premature death at the age of ~15, and since he was my age, this meant that he was likely already gone by the time I learned this. It was a gut-wrenching realization.

It's a little late for that, also singling out influencers (no quotes because that's indeed what they are) or any user type based on age does not help and could lead to either sheltering, ignorance, or rebellion which i can confirm as someone who was not allowed to use the internet until later in life, kids are going to have hobbies anyway and it would be more wise to take baby steps when introducing new people, especially children

It also is definitely something that needs to be brought up how autistic people and ESPECIALLY autistic children are heavily targeted for bullying campaigns, going on for years at a time even. I really wish more people would address this issue and call it out when it happens. A lot of the stuff I see in "cringe" compilations are people (especially children) who are clearly vulnerable people. I'm an autistic adult now but I grew up on the Internet from the age of like 9 and so I've experienced this stuff first hand MANY times. So it's just incredibly important to me that we start protecting the autistic community from this stuff and stop contributing to bullying just because they're "cringe".

It has always been insane to me how willingly grown adults will attack children online, when they know damn well they would never treat a child that way under any other circumstances. It's like being on a screen as a tuber, celebrity or what have you is a license for adults to shit on them. It' is weird. It just goes to show that people really are animals when their behavior isn't checked. the internet has resulted in giving people the sense that they can behave without limits and without consequence, facilitating the primacy of their worst impulses.

The Lil Tay story is horrible and it's unfortunate she's still living that life. The people around her are selfish and narcissistic, which has rubbed off on her. Her mom and brother have definitely exploited her for money and fame. She never got to have a normal childhood. She was thrust into the limelight, got caught in a custody battle with her parents, and was taught that fame is everything. I honestly can't believe a word she says because she was taught to lie at such an early age. She lied about so many things, it was probably hard for her underdeveloped brain to keep track of it all. Her mom, brother, and manager(?) should all be held accountable for child abuse. No clue what the dad's involvement is in any of this, as all the only info we got was via Tay, her brother, and TMZ. All three are untrustworthy. She will have an extremely hard time surviving in the world as an adult. I feel bad for her. Her family has failed her big time. She's gonna get into a lot of trouble with the law, i just know it. Anyway, this was a huge trip down memory lane. I'd almost forgotten about these people.

As someone who popped in on Misha semi-frequently from 2016-2020, I was impressed by his progress. Happy that he didn’t let the hate get to him, I knew that while he still may not have been great at music, he had potential. After all, he was a LITTLE kid at the time, and he just turned 17 years old. However, last year I was curious to see where his music was at now as I hadn’t even heard his name in three years. I listened to a song off his recent album Unimaginable Feelings, the song called i lose control. and HOLY SHIT. I was blown away by what I was hearing, the improvement was insane. I took a deeper stroll into the album and wow. Misha was FIFTEEN when he released one of, if not the most amazing pop album I’ve ever heard. He makes genuinely great music, and with talent like he has now he has a very bright future ahead of him. As a musician myself, I’m excited to see where he goes from here.

The one person who I remember talking about being a target for serious online bullying was the creator Sydsnap, when she was younger she posted a "Meant to be cringy" Weeb video like she was doing a character and Leafy took it seriously as he did with his videos about children because god forbid people be cringy online and she ended up being the most watched video on his channel, she basically couldn't be on the internet at all because of his fans constant harassment and basically became a recluse for years because of the amount of trauma she had from the experience, it's only thanks to her partner Garnt (Gigguk) that she became a content creator, she talked about the experience on the Trash Taste Podcast

That's why people now and days like sammy, he was not only very funny and quotable, but also had a great personality. I’m glad you included Sammy for this video. I know he wasn’t acting professional in his videos, but it absolutely bugged me that he was being picked on. I know it’s the Internet, and it was bound to happen with the way he presented himself, but it doesn’t change the fact that folks were being infinitely more childish about it than he was in his videos. I had a few moments where I questioned the whole thing, and was given the usual spiel of “It’s the Internet,” “Grow thicker skin,” etc. I’m just glad it didn’t go on long enough to mentally break him like we’ve seen with other young folks like child actors.

All of what I just said is usually why I don't open up online, people show their true sides(their evil unhinged side) too quickly so I don't trust anyone to legitimately just let someone have a different belief or to let them explain themselves. As an autistic person who was constantly harrassed, you're doing a good job. Children should be allowed to express themselves creatively, without having to deal with such a thing. Growing up, I was always forced to hide my interests because I was constantly humiliated and harrassed just for talking about things I liked. I never had friends or anyone to talk to, so I took to the internet. My mother was like a hawk, so I ended up sneaking into online spaces as a vulnerable 13 year old. This lead to me being groomed multiple times. You not suppressing your childs creative expression is wonderful, because if you did he'd find some sort of other outlet, and that could lead to him endangering himself. I wish I had that sort of support when I was younger.

1:26:10 - I'm a lawyer and you are incorrect about that custody statistic. Women do end up with custody of their children more often than men, but that is only because over 90% of custody agreements are uncontested, meaning that men agree that giving the mother primary custody is in the best interest of their children, and they willfully opt-in to a custody arrangement where they are the secondary caretaker. In the minority of custody cases that are actually decided by a judge/arbitrator, the father is actually statistically MORE likely to end up with primary custody than the mother is. Given that the court does not actually decide over 90% of custody cases, it's pretty obvious that the problem isn't really that courts are biased against fathers. The real issue is that most fathers either do not want primary custody of their children, or they are honest enough with themselves to realize that evidence of their track record as a parent will most likely show that it wouldn't be in the best interest of their children if they were to take primary custody. Which is good, I guess, because it saves their families a lot of time, money, and heartache. Fathers who genuinely believe they are the more appropriate primary caregiver fight for that role and win. Unfortunately, that's fewer than 10% of them.

Well, if you could find another country that will actually accept you. If not, don't worry. America will accept you back, even though you think negatively about and turned your back on America. Other countries... Well, they would make sure you stopped breathing, permanently.

I’m glad Sammy came out of it better, and seems pretty successful. I think autistic people are often spectacles on the internet because of abnormal behavior. My parents didn’t let me post videos as a kid but I can imagine getting mocked similarly.

I was thinking that too. I was actually wondering what his problem was until I began to understand what exactly autism was. I have it as well but my videos would have been filled with nothing but awkward silence 😂😂 I wouldn't be vocal like Sammy was I would be quiet and just awkward 😂😂 the viewers would probably want to take turns poking me with a stick to see if I'm still there 🤣 I guess autism is different for everyone.

I'm proud to say that I never bullied children on the internet. I remember unironically (maybe semi-ironically) liking the Pokemon Go song when it was new and finding it pretty gross how mean people were being. In general, I don't understand why people spend so much time seeking out things they don't like, so that they can make a hateful comment towards it. Why not spend that time enjoying things you like?
@icankillbugs

When you were a child you never told someone else that what they liked sucked, or that their opinion was wrong, or used a cussword or a taunt or a mean name on the internet? I find that impossible to believe. Unless you just never had internet and saved it for real-life interactions 😅

When I was younger I listened to man music but as an adult I still listen to man music. Lol. I actually have only ever heard of that Friday song on videos like this, usually ripping on it. Funny how you pick two of the bands in all of "relevant" "rock music" I hate the most! As for a true Friday, I usually bail early on Fridays or don't go in at all. I get the yard and/or farmwork done early, get the drinks into me, and try to at least start a project. Or maybe camping - something I don't get to do very often where I live.

He cited the safety of his family, didn't he? Specifically he underlined the dangers of life on socialmedia. I'm thinking he or his were doxxed. If it was work there would be no reason not to say "hey, I've got a day job now and boss says it's got to go if I'm going to work with special needs children. It's been fun but this is good bye." I've known adults who did the same in pr jobs but the ones I anecdotally know never mentioned safety, danger or protecting their family.
