The greasiest blues you will ever hear! Billy Gibbons is just so dang cool and dishes out some of the tastiest licks. Check out "Brown Sugar" or "Coco Blue." Texas blues at it's finest!

I was at there first concert. they were promoting First Album.. was funny as hell. No body was there.. just my people 30 or so. we loved ZZTop. no stage and I was up front toking on some good smoke.. Billy (lead singer)pulled me up on stage and we smokes and drank Jack.. Now days.. good memory

👍And they were at my first concert. lol Time keeps on ticking... Going through a box of old ticket stubs not long ago, My first rock concert May 19, 1973 (Dusty's 24th birthday, I've come to find out) East Tennessee State University Rory Gallagher ZZ Top $4 It was about six months before Tres Hombres came out. Rory Gallagher was pure fire right out of the gate, and I think he had as much fun as anyone. Then, BG and the boys came out. Back when they were the most badass blues rock band that ever was. Straw hats, jeans, no beards (but Frank. lol), and BG in a white tshirt w/ pack of Marlboros rolled up in the sleeve(lol). Needless to say, Rory and BG made a big impression on a 16 yr old. Blues rock, slide guitar nut ever since. RIP Dusty, Rory, Lou, & Rod. Thank You!

not really,... the original line up consisted of Billy Gibbons, Lanier Greig (on bass) and Dan Mitchell (on drums) back in '68 or '69 before the release of their first album in 1972

When I was a kid, I thought the lines, "I just got paid today , Just got me a pocket full of change," meant that he earned so little, that he was paid with change, BUT as a grownup, I think it's the change, he got back, after he paid his bills.

Just for clarification, ZZ Top released 6-Pack, which was a remastered boxset of their first 6 albums, where they either re-recorded and/or added a bunch of reverb to Frank Beard's drums, and it sounds awful. It's notoriously despised.
