Out of this set I'm more hyped for the new mimighoul archetype. They have a super rare spell card called maker that's both a free special summon and rota for any flip monsters and it's generic so essentially shaddolls/subterror/prediction priness/krawlers all got a massive buff from one card alone and I'm all for it. I'll definitely pick up said mimighoul archetype because it seems a lot of fun as well on how it works. But outside of that originally I was looking forward to the dominus trap card and the shilotte rabbit link monster. I am happy that Konami is finally giving support to weaker mechanics which I absolutely love.

Been a year since I last pulled up at locals but my algorithm still spits out yugioh content lol, so glad I sold everything off except the one of cards for the collection. Game was honestly so ass for years. In theory it’s great in execution it’s the worst game I’ve ever played on tabletops

Remember when we had the same problem with Agov? Everyone was pissed and suddenly in Phantom Nightmare most important cards suddenly became Ultras instead of Secrets. I suspect Konami noticed that players were pissed and hoped to calm them down after the Agov Rarity disaster. Now they hope players have already forgotten so they can again Rarity bump the shit out of Info. But the player base hasn‘t forgotten. Also aren‘t they just hurting themselves with these consumer unfriendly rarity distributions? Instead of more people buying the product this just leads to players not even considering buying it or even quitting the game completely since it is so unlikely that you pull what you need. This is so stupid. I am 100% convinced they would sell more product or at least the same amount if we had the OCG Rarity distribution. Because if it is more likely to get the cards you need you are more likely to buy the product. Konami is so greedy that they even forget simple logics and economics. We as a player base should start a petition to get Konami to at least try out the OCG Rarity distribution so they can see for themselves that this would be better for everyone.

I wonder how there are no community boycott because it's freaking insane how badly we're getting treated by Konami. It sucks because it'll hurt the card shops first, but this situation isn't viable for wider community. For example in France we got our boxes for MORE THAN 80 euros (something like 90-95 dollars) we cannot possibly afford to have such garbage rarity distribution in the products. People need to stop supporting this behaviour from Konami but I've seen people down the rabbit hole and I know that it'll continue. That's the sad reality.

My wallet is not cooked because I don't encourage Konami of America's disgusting practices. I haven't bought a single product in a couple years, not even secondary market, and neither should you until we get the same set model as ocg. We deserve the same treatment, not this rarity bumping, artificial scarcity PoS. From what I hear many are doing their part since less and less stores are stocking yugioh (allegedly).

This is why I will always shill for playing Yugioh online because me personally I don't have to worry about the Fiendsmith engine costing hundreds of dollars. I've already been able to play Fiendsmith for months now and haven't had to spend a single penny

I promise you, some people will go into the tournament with Fiendsmith cards. When you look at the OCG breakdowns, Fiendsmith on their own isn't worth much, but... nearly all the big archetypes are now filled with Fiendsmiths. Basically all the Yubel decks are now Fiendsmith Yubel. That might even be the next big meta deck here. Most Snake-Eye decks run Fiendsmiths. Rescue-ACE is pretty popular and they Sinful Spoils and Fiendsmiths now. Really, the only noteworthy decks that don't use them now are Tenpai and Centur-Ion. It sucks to say but that qualifier might just come down to who can get their hands on the Fiendsmith cards first.

So? Are people not gonna buy this product, and moreover, what were they honestly expecting? 3 secret rares for the newest best deck/engine is not uncommon. Set is looking fine. Its gonna sell like fire.

This is 1000% The reason why people are leaving this game, no one wants to spend 1k+ on secrets, not to mention sit in a format thats gonna remain T0 for the forseeable future.

I probably shouldn’t have preordered a booster box thinking I would get a Fiendsmith deck out of it…Geez…😅

I'm getting sick of it as I just had to spend 130€ (2 cards btw.) on my Yubels to upgrade the already pretty expensive deck (that also got shafted by a Soul of Rage late reprint losing major value...) Now I might have to fork over 300-450€ depending on how high the fiendsmiths go if I want to maximize the decks potential. Then I'll be "that guy" at an already dwindling locals as a result of multiple years of tier zero formats. It just feels bad no matter what I do. EDIT: In all honesty, I would have preferred Yubel to be much weaker like some mid-to-high end rogue at best so I wouldn't be baited down this path.
