I started Mounjaro 5 weeks ago and I had a weird first few weeks of a journey, and I'm frustrated and confused... Started on 2.5mg and Wk1-Lost 2pounds, Wk2-Lost 18pounds (Not lying-I was shocked), after that week, I've not lost a pound, but also I've not put on any either!!! Wk5 I went up to 5.0mg and still I've not lost anything!!! Please can someone give me some info? I cut all sugars, sweets, carbs out by Week 3, then cut back my portions. I just don't feel hungry and no cravings which is great, and now for 2 weeks I've had no carbs except a wholemeal roll with some cooked meat on, any other meals its high in protein and vegetables, no carbs. I'm also drinking a lot of fresh lime water with a dash of sugar free squash and a vitamin C effervescant as in the evening I take a lot of tablets for my ailments (Bad osteoarthritis). YEs I've not really started any exercise, should I now add this? Please help! What am I doing wrong ?!?!?

Sorry if this is a question asked already, but what are the long term side effects of this medication? I’m reading about Cancer Cells developing in mice/mouse… the risk of developing Cancer Cells (thyroid Tumor) in humans is apparently there but the risk is less, research shows… I’ve lost 25 kg naturally but still have 18 kg to loose to achieve my goal. Tried all sorts of diets and lifestyle change but I’m stuck and can’t drop any more than 25kg…. I’m so afraid of the above mentioned side effect of this medication 😖 any thoughts on this?

Hi! I have been taking Wegovy and am now on the highest dose of 2.4mg once a week. I have lost weight and my Diabetes 2 status is at an all time low of 41 m/moll which I am very happy about (I don't have Diabetes!). However, I find with Wegovy that my cravings still exist and I have strayed a little and put on a bit of weight. Can I ask if I can swap over to Mounjaro having used Wegovy. I was speaking to someone who is already on Mounjaro and she says it is excellent to curb cravings (that she also has a problem with). Would love to hear from you. Thanks.

You forgot the most important: eat LESS. Like REALLY LESS. You hardly need any food over the day actually. Dont be tempted to eat just because its time to eat! Suplement with good high quality low kalorie nutrients.

Just another quick fix for anybody on this medication? Has anybody even talked about having a lower immune system to infections when on this medication or rising blood sugar levels? Big Pharma and the healthcare system doesn’t want you to get better they lose money that way they want to keep you sick on drugs. Nobody talks about getting to the root cause. People that are on these meds and do a life style change in what they’re eating and may have lose 40-50 pounds in the process…. and the doctors still keep them on these meds “why”? They need to have blood work done to see if their LDL is lowered naturally not with medication. It’s a great way to keep people in the loop of big Pharma. Money, money, money.👎🏼

Bc/bs will not cover any of the weightloss drugs without diabetes. Edit; when wegovy says it's fda approved for obesity they just offer it to you for $1000 as of that's anything.

Do I need a new script each month as my strength goes up?

I started this drug 2 1/2 weeks ago. The first week I lost 4 pounds. The next week I lost 4 pounds. The last three days I have gained weight - every day! I am now up 2.6 pounds. My diet has been high protein, high fiber, water, etc...............I didn't change things from week 1. Eating between 1300 and 1500kcal per day. What the heck!! So frustrated!

Repatha nearly killed me too! It has left me with kidney disease. I have never had so much pain in my life! What’s worse is they had me inject myself with this POISON! Hello doctor so this medication makes your insulin go up is that the same insulin that is a fat storing hormone or a different one and how do you address some of the studies that say that people of the weight that they are losing 50% of it is lean muscle mass do you think that's true or not true and is that a good thing or a bad thing I think that it is greatly exaggerated because if you lose 80 lbs how can 40 lb of weight loss be lean muscle that seems hard to believe can you please help me out with those two questions

Hello Doctor, does the use of Mounjaro/Ozempic cause long term dependency (especially for non-diabetic, obese folk)? Would the body stop producing the hormones naturally once someone stops using it, something like anabolic steroids?

I have been on Mounjaro for a few months and am up to 7.5 dose. I definitely notice a big decrease in appetite and cravings for alot of the junk I used to crave alot are almost totally gone. I am diabetic and take both long and short acting insulins and some diabetic meds. I am definitely eating alot less and my A1c has gone down considerably. The only problem seems to be that instead of losing weight, I have actually gained about 20 pounds, from 280 to 300 now😢. The doctor insists that I HAVE TO be eating more than before for me to gain weight. But I REALLY am eating ALOT less because my appetite has really gone down. He doesn't believe me when I say I am eating less. But I used to eat constantly. I would eat all kinds of chips and cookies and cakes and candies and burgers and fries and as much as I wanted everyday, all day. Now I eat twice a day and cannot really eat even half as much as I used to. And I don't crave all the junk anymore, but am still gaining weight. I just started carnivore today. Hopeing that will help move the needle in the right direction. I wonder if it's the insulin making me gain weight even though I am eating alot less. Because I started to gain weight right after I started the insulin. They added the Mounjaro afterwards. So maybe if I wasn't taking Mounjaro, my weight gain would be even higher.

Repatha just about killed me. Be cognizant of Brain Fog, forgetfulness, vertigo, and oxygen starvation. Especially if you're asthmatic.

my medication was approved by my provider, but I guess I have a high deductible plan because they said it would still be 1300 a month out of pocket. Do you know how I would approach that?

I'm on my second week with the first dose of Repatha. My cholesterol levels are very good right now from Rosuvastatin and Ezetimibe. I'm thinking to go off of the Rosuvastatin (against my Drs advice) for a few months to see if my levels stay where they, or improve with just Repatha and Ezetimibe.

38lb down after 7 weeks...have Ehlers Danlos and Pots so struggle with fatigue which is exacerbated for about 24 hours starting around 18hrs after weekly injection and getting some pretty rough reflux but worth it all if my overall health improves 😁

I have noticed i get facial movements in my sleep. It use to start 4 to 5 days after the shot. Now it started the day of the shot. It's like my cheeks have muscle movements and it actually wakes me up with a crazy noise. I'm not sure how to exactly explain how this feels. Has anyone else noticed this?
