Their father suggested Barry sing this wwy. Maurice wrote the song, the smaller guy on the right, he died in the eatly 2000s in Miami, Barry the older brother is still alive with his wife of 50 years in Miami, then the other taller twin on the left who lived in England passed in the early 2010s of cancer. Some of their children here in Florida still sing etc.

Who boos a 13 yr old, anyways? 🤬 I'm glad "The Sandman" and the person who told her to "step up to the mic" gave her a few extra seconds to make the audience change their minds. 👍

If you like this check out voices, stupid, and bad man. For a more mellow but still awesome song check out the light (the music video goes so well with the song)

This was on the weekly Shindig Show where they were regulars and Shindig was still in black & white but that's where the real gems are. Some TV shows switched to color about this time but I don't think Shindig ever did switch. For their hit songs like this they sang live but to the sound track. Righteous Brothers were known for their R&B so if you want to see the wild and funny guys they truly were I'd go thru more of the old Shindig videos which aren't as clear but they are the show stoppers. They're even better with the live Shindig band, backup singers and dancers. If you react to "Little Latin Lupe Lu" make sure it's from the Shindig Pilot Episode. "I Need Your Loving Everyday" Is my favorite Shindig performance and they let it rip.

His beautiful sound was known in the 60's as "blue-eyed soul". His voice draws out emotions now, almost 60 years later, as much as it did then. Your reaction is priceless!!!

This live performance was in 1964 - color TV was not a thing yet! Also, there was no auto tune available either. What you have here are 2 voices in great harmony (baritone and a 3 octave tenor) and just pure raw talent.

I just dont agree that this is a simple song. The lyrics are deep and there is a mix of r&b, funk bass and dance beat , not to mention the high falsetto when Barry holds out the notes so long. Not simple at all. Traditional country music is simple, not this.

This song is utterly timeless. It sounds as though it was written Yesterday. Which incidentally is another timeless song. Something The Beatles are known for, which again is another classic. To be honest they wrote enough songs to start a Revolution. These classics are probably broadcast Across the Universe. ❤

Okay, Nineteen sixty four, Nineteen sixty five or the year said it was still black and white in television, In the united states. We didn't have color TV in the United States. Until a little bit later, So mostly television was In black & white in those days.
