I wish she used white, not dark, to make it easy to read the fine print.

When I select the "Curves" adjustment, I notice my square in the Layers is White? I adjust my curve, using your photo as a follow along, and then I close out the curves box. I then "Group" as you showed, then when I "Option/Alt & Click on Mask", I get a pixel layer. The thing that stood out with your tutorial and my Affinity, is that when you select "Curves" your box is black, and mine is white? How do I change that to mimic yours. I will have to say that when I select Curves, the box is Black for a split second, then it turns white. I know this video is a few years old, but your other videos have really helped me A LOT, and I hope you can help me with this too.

Thanks for a great informative video. I have watched many Affinity videos - the more I watch the more confused I get - this was simple and logical without jumping around and losing your viewer. Great job!

If you’re planning to do heavy editing, raw is better If you mean the example photos in the video, they’re jpegs probably because it’s mainly for beginners

Defining the pixel layer for painting from the third technique as a child of the already existing mask did not work for me in Affinity Photo 2.5.3. I had to put the pixel layer on top of the layer stack and copy the mask from the model layer to it. Then it worked fine in color blend mode,

Hello, great tutorial! Please can you tell me if it is possible to select a specific color, in my case white and have affinity remove all of that color from the image? Its something that photo shop can do and I wondered if affinity could do the same. its a handy tool when printing on white t shirts. Thanks.

Yes, Affinity Photo has the "flood select tool". Here's a video from another creator that shows how to use it 😊 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/lZ1mpNWks6icm3U.htmlsi=ZIy1ROm0ow6vHNY-
