Hello! Thanks for watching! I have access to the factory manuals, and that’s what one would use. You can find them available online. I use BMW TIS.

I replaced those adjuster arms on one of my headlights today. And of course, there was a complication... One of the thumb screws came off, just like in this video! So I threaded the end of the adjuster screw and put two nuts on it. Thanks for the tip, Sam!

It is, quite literally, an exhaust from a 2015+ 5.0 Mustang from the axle back. Everything else is factory.

30:07 i've put my 330i electric fan on my e53 when my ac fan went out in the summer and its been working perfectly for 4 years now. i used zip ties.I have heard that the e90 electic fan may also work with modification, going to try that on my e38 m62 tho.

@ampsandoctane about ten years ago, you could find them pretty easily for not that much money. These days… it’s a completely different story. I’d still like to have one, but I’m aware that it’ll be a completely different pricing ballpark than it used to be

Sam, could you please tell me why you didnt use assembly lube? It has a consistency of honey and the gravity doesnt pull it out so the engine can sit around for weeks if not months, unless you're dropping her in within a week or 2?

So have you looked at your area for junk yards where you can actually go on and take your own parts off? Here on the west coast we have LKQ yards and its the best joy for any gear head! Not only you can learn so much for a small admission fee (in my area) of $1, but you can break things (accidently) and not worry about it (learning in progress), I call this mechanical collage. It seems, the E39s and E90s along with E65s are crowding the yards lately. So grab em while you can before they are really instinct like the E21s, E30s and E36s.... Cant wait for your next episode man....subscribed for sure.

Yes, there are definitely a lot of great pick ‘n pull yards around here. The two biggest issues I have with them are time and availability of parts. Unfortunately the time of the E39 as far as junkyard cars go is starting to wane here on the east coast. Space is at more of a premium, I guess, and there tend to be more recent cars (E60/65, E90, etc) there now. The other thing is time. Their hours are always so weird, so to make it to one, I have to leave work super early, and that’s often pretty hard for me to plan. So I just usually either buy parts from local parts cars or eBay or Prussian Motors in PA.

Nice work. When you assemble head to engine block, watch out for the head bolts, they are notorious for stripping the threads in the aluminium block.. Take care
