Hi Jess! I have been in those deep dark pits with no light. Several times in my life. On and off. Church and reading Bible and getting out into community would help some. Temporarily. Depression is a chemical imbalance of the brain . It's lacking serotonin. I have been to therapy . I just wanted to let you know there is no shame in if you have to ask a doctor for an antidepressant. If you end up in a dark deep depression again. I am happy you are going back to therapy. God gave us meds and doctors to help us out. Yes I asked God for help. I have Faith. Sometimes it does take medication too. I feel for you being away from your family. You might want to consider to move closer to your Mom. I am praying for you Jess. Many a time I cried out to God and Jesus to help me with my depression. It did help. Sometimes you just need some more help. You don't have to be on the antidepressant all the time. Some have chronic depression and they have to take an antidepressant everyday. I happen to be one of those people. Anyways I am praying for you sweet Jess. Love and hugs.💜

Jess, I suffer from depression and anxiety, and I do know the word. I know that God has me no matter what. I recently realized that when I get into such a dark place, I am able to help myself by just yelling at the enemy (out loud!) and it really helps me. I always say Psalm 91 to myself also. And one more thing I do is, talk with the Lord and I don't pray to get rid of it, I actually pray for the Lord to help me through the season I'm in. I just love watching your video's because your humbleness can be felt in every video. You are so beautiful inside and out. Thank you for sharing your walk with the Lord. May you always be blessed. ❤🙏

I completely agree with you I get in that dark place too and is not fun at all but you have to find the courage to reach out and ask for help. Do not feel ashamed to speak up. Clear your mind and put yourself in the hands of the lord he’ll heal you. 😊

I went thru that alone. I dont have any friends or family except my kids. I used prayer to get thru it as well as take anxiety meds. It’s called spiritual warfare. Every Christian has their own battles. Maybe you should talk to your doc about anxiety meds. Also think about getting a pet maybe. I have two cats.

Should be here on tueday thank goodness mean time i am dealing with the unpredictability of my old one. I did not realise just how much i rely on it . Anyhow hope things are going well for you this week . I am planning next week around a lot of hospital appointments which always totally tire me out so i need to factor in lots of naps to keep on top of it all. Peace security and love indeed thats what most of us want . Because of my tech probs this week i have actually done so much more reading which is great for the imagination and the soul. I am lucky that i am not in the least bit effected by fomo as i am so content living a more isolated lifestyle without dealing with the cruelty of the outside world px

Hi Jess! You are very wise. Wish I would have had this video in 2019. My Dad and my stepdad both passed away that year. I had friends and other family pass away that year also. This is a very comforting video and now I am all caught up on your videos I went through a bad depression after I came back from my Moms after my step dads memorial service. I just couldnt eat much . When I did eat it was broccoli cheese soup and lots of veggies. Meat just didnt taste good. I stayed away from everyone. And one day on a Facebook page I liked and see. Hope For The Broken Hearted - I found about Grief Share - a grieving support group . A Christian one. I googled Grief Share and found out there was one in my town at The First Baptist Church. People talk about their grief if they want to and you dont have to talk . You can just listen. There is a work book with Grief Share. It helped me out tremendously. I went once a week. Cant remember how many weeks it is. I finally came out of my depression. I had done physical damage to my body though. I ended up with a vitamin B12 deficiency bc I hadnt been taking a multi vitamin when I wasnt eating much meat. I had to get months of vitamin B 12 shots My vitamin B 12 levels are just fine now. I am doing very well. So glad I found your channel Jess. God bless you. Looking forward to your next video

Hi Jess! So happy you got to visit your Mom and your cousin and her baby and other family members I was still at my Moms when you were at your Moms. My Mom has to use a walker to walk with and her hands are losing their strength and not working right. It made me sad seeing her like this. Glad I was there to help her out. She is 79. January 14 th she will be 80. By the way you look like you are in your early 20s.

As a CA transplant to Texas (7 years now) - may I just say you made the right choice! Life is SO different in the southern states. Not sure about TN, but here in TX, it's like a different country! And I love it! People are so much friendlier than I found in CA (and I was a native!). I only wish I had moved here sooner.
