What about sealing the intake grate? Is it really necessary? I just took my intake grate off to remove stuck rope and I used 4200 to seal where the bolts enter the hull but didn’t even think about applying anything around the edge of the intake grate like some recommend

I have just fitted this and im 99% the Riva instructions are wrong. Surely the further away the ball joint is away from the shaft the more sensitive the steering is going to be? I could be very wrong tho 😂

When we raced stock jet ski with all the add-on’s/ after market, we noticed without the rev limiter and then you hit the right wave and pop it up and out to pitch up the engine, you’ll get more out of it. We called it, feeding it, Scooby snacks past the limit, as we had removed the limiter, you still need to go beyond that limit you had to get it to jump out pitch up………. Last this was with 2 stroke engine but also help our4 stroke Honda turbo so both. Fun times!!!!!!

Those engines are one of the most reliable ones, even with such crappy oil design, can't imagine the realiability level with a new design.

I disagree i rode both a 300rxp and a gp1800r svho the seadoo is way smoother in rough comdition yamaha is only good for straight line

Is the newer seadoo reliable. I see alot of people say the yamaha has more reliable engines. I am not after fastest but most reliable. I like how the seadoo looks.

Just wondering as I have come across this today, on a 2005 seadoo rxp, should a new jet pump bearing have some very slight side to side play? Bought a WSM jet pump rebuild kit and noticed this while installing. I have read the service manual and according to seadoo there should be no play in the shaft or bearing. On my 2017 rxt-x that I am rebuilding the jetpump on, I noticed that there was no play in any direction and is very tight compared to the 2005, is this normal?

Can you see some benefit without any tuning with this plate?
