Even better: Get the FX3 and F30 and Tamron 17-28mm and 28-75mm f/2.8 lens, and the Sony 10-20mm and 18-105mm f/4 PZ G lens. Also get a 7.5mm 7Aritsans lens and you're good to go. Center crop those lenses with FX30 and you get 2.5x crop total, so you can hit 95% every focal point with those lenses.

Got Tamron recently when it went on sale for $699. Didn't like it at all and returned it. First, I realized how 24mm is important, and it's not about FOV, it's about look. I didn't like Tamron subtle color shift, it was annoying, I like Sony lenses neutral colors. Tamron also seems to be lacking in contrast, somehow the images looked flat. Bokeh is also sometimes dreadful, depends on the distance and focal length. I had Sigma 24-70/2.8, it produced lovely images but was too heavy, so I thought Tamron would be an acceptable substitute -- it's not even close.

Hi, I don't use an external monitor but I would like to record 4K using Activetrack on my A7iii. Is this possible? You covered a lot of interesting features and limitations. BTW, I have the RSC2 and love it! I was hoping that the addition of active track would provide even more functionality. I was only 1/2 right. No wonder, B&H doesn't carry it. The documentation bites!

When is your video coming out of the DJI transmission? I'm doing a lot of research and having a hard time. I have an FX6 and I want to use it for filming automotive shots. Looking to invest in a professional arm to mount on the car, and I want to know if the DJI transmission system/monitor + the DJI RS4 Pro combo will be compatible. I would not mount the monitor on the camera since I want to use it sitting in the car and being able to control the gimbal from a distance. Will I be able to do this? I saw that the DJI RS4 is not compatible with the FX6 but it looks like if I use the Transmission system with an HDMI cable I will find a way to work around that. Looking forward to your thoughts about this ;) Setups look dope btw!

I just bought the Mavic 2 and have the SC. I am currently using my Mac Book pro to try and install the Assistant 2 for Mavic using your link attached in your video. After the download completes I get an error message stating that, “Cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer” and doesn’t even give me the option to proceed to open it. My MacBook says “macOS cannot verify that this app if free from malware” and only gives me the option to select OK and it closes out of it. Any ideas on how I can get past this? I’ve tried with just the DJI assistant 2 and was getting the same error

The old batteries would use 18650 cells, whereas the new one here would be flat-pack cells. The old cells took up more space and are heavier, flatpacks have a plastic 'shell' and obviously take up less space.

What type of grip is that for easy rig ?

Unless you shot most of the time in low light you don't need 2.8 aperture really. But if you shot wedding, concert, etc you must need a 2.8 aperture lense. In low light conditions I think 1.2 or 1.4 aperture primes are the best.

On a7cII and 100cm Zeaopn Axis im getting little shaked footages too often - and its not "start and end" its all length of the video. Its sometime more noticeable and sometime - not very. And Stedy shot enabled on camera buts it not help - its just miracle. Slider cant make too big swing but result is broken all the time. 100% speed of slider its pretty slow, absolutely dont have room for run faster if its need. Only by hand with not smooth result. Good things about its - buil quality fills pretty solid, and easy un-belt feature very helpful for me.

Can you use lidar just for tracking with an auto focus lens. Do you know if the tracking is better than the previous model.

Not sure why Tamron can't still work with Sony IBIS after 3 years of launch but, for my non stabilized 6400, the tamron is best.
