don't do this put shims between the piston head and piston its way better and more durable
@wescoupland39852 жыл бұрын
What the hell are you talking about man you got it backwards it's the release side not the pickup side I don't know who the f*** taught you that man that is completely incorrect and that's how you have a negative effect on performance I'm located in Canada and we don't do it that way I do two teeth on the release side an occasionally on my piston when correcting AOE I either take half a tooth down or sometimes a full tooth and sometimes a half and that's on the pickup side that's only two correct angle of engagement I don't know who taught you that but you should not have this video online cuz you're going to f*** it up for a lot of other people.

One question, why does the sector gear has holes on it? what are they use for?
@budi1622 Жыл бұрын
That's bcuz some of the mosfet using Magnetic Sensor and some using an Optic Sensor..for those who are using the Magnetic Sensor Mosfet can put the magnet on that hole which each hole will determined your piston position you feel nice with your trigger respond.

Isnt in the market a "multiple lenght" piston head to achieve perfect AOE just moving a screw? Nobody invented this?
@TutonWolf3 жыл бұрын
I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone 3d printing some spacers to go between the piston head and the piston body - Fairly easy to make your own, but some properly measured and cut ones would sell for sure I imagine

Stretching o-ring is not good, it will revert to it'is size after some day of sit. Heating it with a flame damage the o-ring material. Buy new o-ring with the correct size it cost 2.5 $ Take time to measure the o-ring with a caliper afters some day www.amazon.com/uxcell-Rings-Nitrile-Rubber-Diameter/dp/B07WCC4TVJ/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=19+24+o-ring&qid=1600959393&sr=8-3

I bought an S&T kar98 springer and it’s been difficult getting answers on what the spring actually is and if it’s VSR compatible. I have an old VSR spring and can possibly compare the two springs. If it’s not compatible I’ll have to trim the original spring down

I wanna down grade the fps on a fixed slide pistol, from 400 fps to 350...I did see a vid from saltyoldgamer who did this by cutting 1 coil off and got that result..... Soooooo is this ok to do on a non blow back pistol (bearing in mind theres not much inside one) I like the pistol (yeah yeah I know non blow back)....and dont wanna wreck it.

@jimmurrell14324 жыл бұрын
Also I have seen co2 guns on line where they say they have reduced fps by suppressing the mag valve to take it from 400+ fps to under 350. Others advocate cutting and stretching hammer spring etc. The ruger (as an example) is made by ASG and KJW, any recommendations on a low release valve?

I'm a bit late,yes applicable but usually not necessary ,V3 gearboxes have more metal and are generally less prone to cracking

Good tutorial, thanks for it. I need to cut an m120 to reduce the FPS from 410 to 350, some people might say "just buy an M90" and yes, I did, but the problem is that now the m90 spring is too weak for the 30k motor and the 11.1 battery, so the system overcycles. With a 7.4 battery is working ok . So, I want to try to increase the ROF by cutting the m120spring and use the 11.1battery, I have nothing to loose :)

Removing the sharp edges and rounding them off decreases the stress concentration. However the material (I think aluminum) is poor for fatigue life. Repeated firing will end up causing it to break in the long run. This mod should lower the probability of a crack forming and extend its life. You should polish the surfaces up to 3000 grit to eliminate as much surface roughness. The rough surfaces can be enough to form a crack which will propagate. Wonder if anyone has tried to shoot peen these gear boxes to improve the life.
