The overall problem imo with Simon around this time is he literally became someone said wasn’t, kamina. 14 yr old Simon normally thought things thru better. But yeah rossiu became so shady, he was kinda just there pre-time skip, but he wasn’t at the point where I didn’t like him same with twins. I like the series and am rewatching, but am realizing few issues here and there

I have to commend the pacing of this show, because it was not just pacing between action to action, but fast pacing between decisions to commands to action to reaction. It made for an extremely dynamic fight without resorting to the protag taking an entire episode to explain a finishing move.

I think what they did in episode 23 was increase the drama, instead of toning it down like they do in the novel, and spread the blame to both sides. I think the author knows that no matter what Mushoku does, it won't be as popular as (Jujutsu Kaisen, My Hero Academia, Naruto), which is a shame because in my opinion, Mushoku's story is a better story than those animes.

The part in the beginning with Roxy and Rudeus was framed very differently in the LN. While Roxy did come into the room with the intention to do what happened, she actually didn't initiate it. She actually ends up in his lap, and goes on a whole 2 paragraph tangent talking him into maybe doing it with her, and Rudeus caves and in his own narration pretty much admits that he took his frustration out on her. When he wakes up the morning after, he thinks to himself that he really fucked up, and also about how he was too rough with Roxy (granted he hadn't been really eating much at all for 1-2 weeks, so it wasn't as if he could've put too much strength into it, but still). Also 8:36 glad to see that we finally have Jirou/Dillo making an appearance.

For anyone interested there is a Drama CD on youtube with subtitels where the last few minutes are pretty much Paul's last toughts. If the next episode doesn't show them I am not sure if they ever will, but I think the VA did a fantastic job and it's really heartbreaking. It seem there are also edit's that just show pauls scene at the end for anyone that doesn't want to listen to the whole thing or search for the specific part.

Your reactions and analysis of S1&2 were so good, these videos need way more views fr! And your love for this season, from the characters to the animation, reflected my own. I seriously can't understand how people think this season was just 'okay' when it felt amazingly well-paced and better in every aspect. Sure, older fans might be salty that things weren't copied verbatim from the campaign, but the point of an adaptation is that it needs to change things for all the narrative & emotional beats to flow properly. Which the creators did perfectly in my opinion. Anyway, rant over, this was awesome :)

I think from what I’ve seen table to screen it was done as well as you could possibly do it. Adapting something that spans HUNDREDS of HOURS into less than 10 hours I think, and still managing to make it make sense is an incredible feat. I mentioned this on another comment but it’s crazy to me that when Prime has Invincible and Vox, that Vox isn’t the more popular show and I hope that changes with the new season. It’s such a well rounded show that there’s barely places I can find faults

@@EnriqueCTV That's exactly how I feel and I really hope TLOVM S3 sees a lot more viewership/popularity because it truly deserves it. I think it's because of its superhero genre that Invincible gained more popularity, due to its similarity with The Boys & Omni-Man being compared to Homelander. TLOVM likely isn't getting as much traction bc people might feel unfamiliar with DnD or Critical Role and might think it's not for them. Also, fantasy shows generally seem to be hit or miss with people with how many live-action fantasy shows seem to pop up, waver, and fall off with audiences. But I think the concept of D&D has increased heavily since the drop of S2 thanks to things like Baldur's Gate 3 and the 'Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves' movie. So here's hoping for more TLOVM love in October!!

WOW, your analysis of Vax at the end was perfect. I already could tell that he definitely cares about his own life the least & uses his talents to protect those he loves even if it puts him in compromising situations, like infiltrating the Briarwoods' room or chasing Cass to force her to free his friends from the acid trap. But I didn't even think about the fact that Vax hates his dad mostly because of his treatment toward Vex (and himself too, but as we established, not his #1 priority).

People need to know something. Rudy couldn't keep up, not mentally, but physically. He doesn't have Battle Aura. The ability to manipulate mana throughout the body. (this hasn't been explained in the anime) Its invisible to the eye, but enhances your strength and reflexes. Fighting without it is like playing a game with input lag. His demon eye closes that gap slightly, but he isn't physically capable of dodging the Hydra's attacks. In return though he has an abundant pool of mana. This was by no means Rudy's fault. Even if you can see an attack coming, it doesn't matter if you can't dodge it. The hydra went off script at around 10% HP. It's headless limbs began attacking everyone including Rudy. Which left Elise preoccupied, and Talhand left to defend Roxy. They had to block it because the scales were as sharp as blades. This left the main last head free to attack Rudy. (Remember, he needed to be point blank to hit it with magic.) If you are incapable of doing something, is that your fault? If you, a normal human were in that scenario, (keep in mind rudy only has the muscles he's built and normal reflexes) would you be able to get out of the way? People now are mistakenly referring to Rudy as a glass cannon. This is not true. By definition, a glass cannon is all firepower with little to no defense. Rudy has impeccable defensive earth magic and control magic with quagmire (giggidy). Rudy would most likely win in a 1v1 in a lot of battles. This was different. He was placed in a situation where he was forced to be defenseless and rely on allies to cover him. The hydra was just too fast. Everyone was caught off guard by its intelligence. Did you expect it to rip off its own neck to regrow heads, or to use its dead limbs as sharp blunt weapons? Probably not, but still the situation was simply unlucky. Rudy was in his worst element. Close range. A knife is still more effective against an undrawn firearm within 5 feet.

Spoiler. Zenith will never recover. The exposure to massive amounts of mana for so long has destroyed her bodies motor functions. Her mind is stuck in a permanent magic fog crippling her ability to talk or express emotions ever again. She will have to be taken care of for the rest of her life. She can take in new information but can't react to it. This leaves the question. What was lost was greater than what was gained. Was it worth it? She's basically in a magical coma but awake with no escape. The only plus is that eventually one of roxies kids will have the telepathic magic to directly talk to zenith.

Light Spoilers on Zenith's condition if they don't explain it well. What happened to Zenith is not unique. Elinalise also had this happen to her, which is why she knew Zenith was still alive. Your experiences and problems being in a dungeon crystal may vary? I would describe Zenith as now being severely autistic. Close enough for horseshoes and hand grenades.

@squirlking2 21 күн бұрын
I don't think we have a straight answer. But let's assume for a minute that she was teleported during the incident into the labyrinth and got stuck in the concentrated mana which crystalized and formed the hydra. She's been stuck there being overloaded with mana for years as the hydra fed on her mama and the mana in the labyrinth. The physical and mental damage has forever crippled zenith. She may as well be dead.

Man this episode is just... Bruh Like... - Rudeus lost a limb. - Paul died believing he was a bad father - Paul also did all this, pooled so many resources and effort, just to rescue a vegtable - Healing magic heals the body BUT NOT the mind. So they're literally gonna be forced to take care of a constant reminder of their failure - Technically, Rudeus lost both his parents. - Rudeus caused his father's death, both by disobeying the mangod and by slipping mid-battle - Rudeus is already very mentally weak and breaks easily. So imagine this situation man... - Also, when you think about it, he lost 4 parents now. - ALSO, HE NEEDS TO TELL ALL THIS TO HIS SISTERS, ONE OF WHOM RELIED ON HIM TO SAVE THEM

Nice little detail in IBO: The most effective attacks are always against the core, or the parts of the gundam not covered by nano-laminate armour. That's why Mika complains that the sword is hard to use, and prefers to use blunt implements like maces or improvised maces. Just like in real-life armoured combat, cuts are ineffective against armour - you have to go for the gaps. But with a big honkin' mace, you can just bludgeon and smash that armour good, and the kinetic impact is still going to transfer. That's why the mecha in this show prefer percussive weapons in general: Axes and maces. It's one of the neat little touches that makes the combat feel more grounded and real, and in the end, *brutal* than a lot of other Gundam shows.

The reason why people were thinking the Roxy POV was cut or was going to be cut was because in the LN, her POV leads into the whole part where Rudeus saves her and then you get the bit before the OP. Everything up to the OP this episode is told from her POV in the LN. 9:00 To be fair, clearing out labyrinths can be a good way to make money. That's a large reason why Rapan exists - there's a lot of labyrinths around, and adventuring parties started to gather around to go through them, so eventually a town/city formed. The last big job that Rudeus took that ended up getting him a lot of money was killing that red dragon before going to the university. There are some labyrinths near Sharia, too.

The general rules of Critical Role, regardless of campaign, 1. Liam's character will eventually become the main character (even if he tries to avoid it). 2. Travis' character will find a cursed weapon (yes, I know that is strangely specific). 3. Laura's character will be in a romance. 4. Ashley's character will look the coolest. 5. Sam's character will play a joke that breaks your heart. 6. Taliesin will have the best lines of dialect. 7. Marisha will always have the highest highs and lowest lows.

yes, it was the Orb - they didn't forget about the spinning ball of death. the common belief is that Vox Machina vanishing and leaving Keyleth alone represents that a 18th level Druid gains Timeless Body and ages at 1/10th the normal rate. As a half-elf, she could live 2000 years, and it's why Osysa asked her if she was more afraid of facing her Aramente or her friends not living to see her complete it. Just be prepared to have your heart broken just as much and more than S2. It's proper for Vax to be the focus. This all started as a game for Liam O'Brien's birthday. Critical Role wouldn't exist without him.

Teleportation magic has been illegal since before the evens of the series. The remaining teleportation circles are relics from the Great Demon Wars. Because they basically allowed you to move your army wherever they were super important to retain control of. After the war, the government destroyed all of the ones they could find because they were too dangerous to leave lying around.
