Mmmm, nice note. I like Santal Kardamon, Ivory Route (they don't disclose notes but I think it's in there) and Remarkable People (goes so well with the citrusy top notes). I think it might also be in my Lune Feline extrait. Nice video, JS!

Cardamom is my favorite spice in fragrances. Xerjoff Starlight, Armani Prive Magenta Tanzanite, BDK Gris Charnel, Lune Feline are a few of my favorite scents with cardamom.

This was such a cute video idea! I have an app on my phone that can scan a plant, tree or flower and tell you the name.. I use it when I travel and don't recognize the foliage. Very handy (I suppose it's only handy if you're curious what the names of plants are) 😊 I do have a small sample of the original Alien formulation, haven't taken the time to compare it to the newer one, (mostly because I can't locate my sample) 🫣😆

I have a recommendation for you.. even if it turns out to be nothing you‘d be interested in buying I thought I‘d give it a try because I found myself utterly in love with her stuff the more I get to try.. like really not love more like overall aesthetic. She‘s making mostly whimsical, gothic, witchy themed scents (so that (at least) should be right up your alley), also she‘s located at the UK and uses stricktly organic and vegan ingredients.. she‘s also making new releases every season/ Wheel of the Year „chapter“, often based on pargan festivies. Only „downside“ is she‘s making roller-balls and solide perfumes only. I already tried A LOT of her things and besides one or two (strictly out of personal preferances) all of them were divine! I mean „eye rolling back into my head“ kinda good! ALSO I found one featuring wild bluebell 💜.. and if that‘s not convincing you.. she combined it with sweet peach juice and styrax benzoin in the base. Haven‘t tried it myself yet, but it‘s definitely going to make it‘s way into my next order. I‘m gonna stop it there or else I‘m going to fangirl myself into oblivion. I liked what you had to say about masterpieces. I have a handful of fragrances in my collection that when I smell them they just send me, they blow me away every time. None of them are popular or hyped or whatever, but to me I can't get my head round how good they smell to me and how they make me feel. And for that, to me, yes, they are masterpieces.

Eglantine makes sense since the French make a jam out of the rosehips and its called Églantier. I bought some in the Polish shop recently but it wasn't anywhere as nice as the French stuff

Dog roses do indeed smell very unrosy. I remember feeling very disappointed 😂 it smelt a bit powdery verging on soapy to me, but light white floral. I had absolutely no idea what Woodbine was nor Eglantine. Eglantine is the witch in bedknobs and broomsticks, end of my knowledge 🤣 I think I'd have chosen Basilica for thyme, but your choice was probably more appropriate because it was more floral. I'd not really thought about the honeysuckle in vanilla Coco, but you're right, there is something stopping it being bog standard beachy coconut boredom. I really like that one. ☺️ Happy you got Siren and sailors in 🤣 I need more naughty parties in my life. And of course Alien. Foxgloves are gorgeous aren't they, they always make me think of digitoxin, something that really did partially save my life and that originally came from foxgloves. Loved hearing your midsummer quote too. Such a lovely video ❤

I'm not a fan of smoke and incense nor , nor patchouli either, and the Kayali uses both, but I've been assured that neither are prominent. I might blind buy a travel spray. Hi Jon! The only one of these I own is Lovefest (a travel spray) It is one of the only cherry scents I really love. Will definitely give it a good wearing this summer on your recommendation rather than waiting till fall or winter! 😊 I want to try Noir de Noir (I was nodding along with you as you were talking about it, as if I had smelled it before.. but then I realized it was actually Noir pour Femme that I have a sample of) 🤦🏻‍♀️ I love OSM and I agree, I'd only ever need a travel size of that one! I didn't know you could do accents! 😅 good job ..enjoyed the scenery and birds singing too.

Starting to wonder that it's not so much violet that's our crossover, more then Gothic style rose type fragrances. Myths woman doesn't exactly make me want to smother myself in it based on your rotten flower comparison but it does actually sound really interesting 🌹👍 Love all your little early fantasy story examples for each one. I came so close to buying le bain SO many times now and never got it… because of the plain bottle 😑 (I‘m such a sucker for whimsical things 🧚‍♀️).. but I loved the warm, almost cocooning feel it gave me.. it’s also totally my kind of scent profil! And everytime you talk about it I think to myself what an idiot I am .. JOOP! has a lot of great fragrances to offer I think.. and like you said.. no masterpieces but just some really (feel) good ones. I‘m gonna take it home with me next time, I promise. 😅🥲 Nontheless I never thought aldehyds giving it that „steamy“ feel you talked about. They are so versatile it‘s crazy 🤯.

They seem to be making a comeback, don't they. I love the fizz a judicious (in my opinion) amount gives a fragrance. They're seem very versatile and aerate a scent and give some space around the notes. And aren't there many different molecules? In Ghost in the Shell, they're listed as aquatic. Anyway, two I don't like are Replica's Sailing Day and Exemplaire Unique's Couleur Primaire. They both feel too cold for me to smell 😂 Offhand, I enjoy YSL Y, ELDO's Ghost in the Shell, and JHag Citizen Queen. Have a lovely week!
