LOVE LOVE LOVE Melissa, her character as Mary was my favorite. Such a beautiful talented lady....

Ok. I loved Little House as much as anyone. But, it’s a little weird to hear Allison speak about her experiences in Monaco as a celebrity and with fans at events, as though she’s somehow on another level of humanity than them. Come on. You’re a mortal human just like the rest of us. No better, no worse. And not “special” in God’s eyes, because you’re known to many. Please put this life into perspective and know that when Christ Jesus returns (obviously, extremely soon), the ONLY thing that will differentiate people is whether they’re IN CHRIST, or not. I truly pray that those who’ve been distracted by celebrity, fame and the quickly fading “glories” of this current life, will come back to what matters~~Faith in Christ Jesus and Eternity.

Thank you to the rest for keeping this podcast going. It would be so awesome to see all of the remaining living characters together on an episode if possible.

Melissa at 21:00 said she didn't have her ears pierced... but you can see hee pierced ears in Season 8 and 9, and the episode where she paid $5 for pierced earrings!

Melissa always says that her adopted brother always ANNOYED her. Maybe that's why he packed up and left for 40 years.

Movies some were in that were so far from their LHoTP characters....Dabbs Greer in White Lightning, Richard Bull in High Plains Drifter and of course Charlotte Stewart in Tremors.

I’m late to comment but I’d like to know how Dean felt about working with Mr Montague- Robert Casper who passed away recently. His character was a hoot and I loved how he blended in their new “family” at the end of the last season and the finale!! 😂😢❤

My favorite episode was when Nellie ran off to marry Luke and Harriet and Nels fell off the horse and then when they burst through to door, Harriet says "make her a widow"...absolutely hilarious to me.

Let me just add this, now that I am grown up and can look back at the show, I can say a few things. I don't know if the writers purposefully did it or maybe I am reading too much into it, but it seems that Nellie was only like that because she was trying to form a bond with her mother. It's as though Nellie thought by being mean, she would get approval from people who she wanted love from. Why was she nice to Luke and overlooked his awkward country bumpkin persona? Because she thought he loved her. The same with Percival. Nellie really wasn't a mean girl, per se, she just was that way to get attention and love from her mother.

That Sylvia episode should never have aired

Went to 50th Simi Valley. Lucy said she really HATED what Landon did to Eliza Jane. Made her paranoid, hateful, a total b. I agree. Shame on landon

I think the appeal still is the fantasy in living and that world. Also, watching as an adult you see the adult roles differently and can relate more with the parents and possibly question some of their choice that you didn’t as a child.

Eliza and Nellie were my favorite characters! Honestly, the secondary characters were much more interesting than the Ingalls.

Yep, dumb drama forgetting the baby, LOL. Just like in the blizzard episode when the telegraph man obviously did not relay the messages he was receiving to anyone in town, much less Ms. Beadle. Dumb!! Must have been simply for dramatic effect.

Thank you all! Little house is my soul food and you were such a huge part of my childhood. Im on home hospice for cancer and I love revisiting this show that brings back wonderful memories! My friends and I watched every single week and talked about it in school the next day. We pretended our Holly Hobbie dolls were Mary and Laura, etc. The show was so huge to us as children in the 70s!

I've seen Allison Arngrim at 4 reunion the past 18 years. She very weird!! Loud, sounds crazy.

Allison Arngrim and Melissa Gilbert wrote about Melissa Amderson in their books... supposedly how nasty she was as a child on set from day 1 until well into adult hood. So I don't get why MSA decided to do this!
