I love that episode as well. What gets me is towards the end, when the rich gentleman who is giving them a ride to the ocean says, "Let's make it fast. I don't have a lot of time." And Charles, who has Dylan leaning on him, says, "Neither does he." 😢

Too bad he couldn’t be more understanding when it came to Karen Grasslie’s request for a salary increase. He did not always treat her with respect

​@@muffincat99- Sadly, you can't always get the raise you thi k you are worth. But, how does what he paid her, and offered her in terms of an acting career , compare with what she earned from all of her other wonderful roles.? And which of those roles made a name for her in Hollywood? Hmmmm. The fact is, Michael Landon was an incredibly successful producer, and as such he had to make the tough decisions regarding salary and so far as I can tell from my extensive reading on the subject, K Grassle is the ONLY one of his many, many cast and crew who had a complaint. And remember, most of his crew had followed him from Bonanza to LH and then on to HTH. Doesn't seem like any of THEM had a problem with how much he paid them. Sometimes when you ask for a raise, the answer is no.
