Thank you Sabine for this wonderful video! Many of the concepts you took up are actively being taught at my university. Examples include System 1 and 2, False Consensus Bias and Confirmatory Bias. A sad, but nevertheless funny, example of confirmatory bias ruining companies that one of my professors mentioned would include a big group SWOT analysis where, for example, the participants would write 'kind, lovely team' as a Strength 😂. I would like to mention that is very difficult for someone who is unaware of an active bias to conciously detect it... However, I have never heard of the Availability Bias before so it is something that I could benefit from noticing in the future. As a Data Analyst, I personally feel strong with skills 2-5 and I’m trying to develop skill 1 on “Effective Communication”. Vinh Giang has some amazing content on improving communication techniques and one thing he says that I resonate with is “People only perceive you on how well you communicate.” You may be a 10/10 technically but if your communication skills are a 4/10, you will be perceived as a 4/10. I feel like I am able to understand the perspective of others and build rapport but I come off as less certain in my own opinion and recommendations. I hope to demonstrate authority when I speak while at the same time being thoughtful of other perspectives.

you forgot to mention that sometimes people don't get promoted because the manager is racially bias or sometimes only favors his own ethnicity.

Sabine i was out of work for 4 years due to personal reasons taking care of my mother she was not well yet working fortunately she has retired now so how can i start my job search process which points would work in my favour like direct cold call or cold email or posting resume or messaging on LinkedIn ? The descent of the New Jerusalem from heaven is the coming of the words of God that will live with man, that will guide every action of man, and all of his whole will-inner thoughts. This is God's plan: His words will be on earth for a Thousand Years, and they will reveal all His works, and complete all His works on earth, after this period mankind will come to their end.)
