Great video had a question, If water got into the gas tank is this where the water would accumulate?
@atvrepairsandmore2482Күн бұрын
Yes, it would accumulate in the fuel tank. Usually, water would get in from an open cap or possibly filling up from a fuel source that has water/moisture in it.

I’m looking to buy one of those diesel 3010s. The guy said it was running hot. When he went to change the head gasket. He saw one piston was kind of burnt up. I’m a little worried about repairing the diesel but that would be nice. I also have, a good running motor out of a mule 550 but I wonder if I can swap in? any advice you can lend would be much appreciated. I’m enjoying the videos.!
@atvrepairsandmore24823 күн бұрын
@@user-xj8ye6bq6o the engine from a 550 would take a lot to make work. If I had to guess, it has a cracked head or blown head gasket. The miles are also really hard to bleed the air out of the cooling system so that can cause overheating as well

Got the same mower with a 60 inch. It is a grass cutting machine and the air is so cold it will give you a head ache blowing right on your head. I am in Alabama.
@atvrepairsandmore24824 күн бұрын
@@user-ex9sv5ol2q I haven’t been really impressed with the 72” so far. It cuts really face but the engine bogs down so easy. Even if I cut the ac off it struggles to cut through grass that I know a gas engine wouldn’t have an issue with. Hopefully it will work out but it really bothers me

@@atvrepairsandmore2482 might want to check the air filter, fuel filters and blades. I cut 16" tall grass last week and there was no bogging at all, 60" rear discharge. Plenty of power as a mower at 24.8hp.

TO ALL WHO ARE HAVING TROUBLE DISASSEBLING THE CLUTCH: I was unable to unscrew the aluminum piece on my clutch after lubrication, heat, and brute force. Here is how I did it: 1-1/16" 3/4 drive 12pt socket. Cut two slots 180 degrees out from each other so that when you place it over the shaft it fits over whatever you use for the pin to go through the shaft holes. I used a 1/4" impact driver extension bit (good grade tough material). Hold the aluminum threaded hub with a gloved hand or clamp it some kind of way, I just held it. Be sure that since you are turning the shaft the impact is turning clockwise. Give it hell. 3/4 impact level hell. Good luck to you all and many thanks to @atvrepairsandmore2482 for taking the time to share your work!

I found an easier way. Remove wheels Knuckles Cv axles, next remove the bed, Exhaust shields Exhuast Top transmission mount Number the cables, brackets and hoses, remove them. Remove the starter Remove back cover behind the HST Remove sway bar bracket and swing the swaybar down and remove the two bolts on the lower transmission mounts. Now block up the engine and hoist the transmission out of the sub frame It fits out without having to take apart the suspension and sub frame. Also goes back in way easier

I have a 2005 3010 and the primary clutch was stuck fully in engaged, would not release. Only 300 hrs on the clock so should not need rebuilt. I was wondering if I could rub some grease on the fly weights or the rollers that they slide on? I first thought of silicone spray but afraid it might get on the friction surface of the belt or pulleys. Any other thoughts appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your video. I was in the middle of changing my Bendix and when it would not come past the flywheel I started searching for videos. I found yours and one other very helpful. The other one mention taking the Bendix apart by removing the retaining ring. I found removing the retaining ring to be next to impossible while it's still in place. As a last ditch effort I twitched it to the left and it fell out into my hand WITHOUT removing the flywheel. (the starter has to be removed to allow room to make the swing)
