I have been a slater for over 46 years and worked with many many great slaters/roofers and have never once seen any of them people have to use a spirit level on a roof ridging and starting to right from both ends ,neither have any of them men have used a pointing trowel on any rolled tile ,and pointing a dry valley which should have been bedded will test itself in time..this is not the wrong way to ridge but certainly not the right way????
@adreenryan29016 күн бұрын
I think the steel is a bit over engineered there will be a bit of weigh in that. If you're plastering over the bricks you could have used the old bricks you knocked out.

Hi Mark, im about to board my own bathroom ceiling. The ceiling in the bathroom is fairly low (2.4m) do you recommend I use moisture resistant plasterboards? Also, should I prime the boards prior to skim? Cheers, Steve
@markhep15 күн бұрын
Hi mate I would use moisture board the cost is only a few pounds more in a small bathroom.i did prime this one before plaster .but most plasterers don't bother.i did it so it wouldn't go off on me so fast .think it still sticks fine without.i don't prime normal plaster board 👍👍
@nomadics143115 күн бұрын
Ok brilliant, thanks for this info Mark 👍🏼 is the prime just standard pva? Also mate, once it's been skimmed, should I put anything on the plaster prior to painting such as a sealant solution or tanking fluid or is it fine to just paint on? Many thanks, Steve
