Hello, Drew.A beginner question. The second plugin is for key changes. But don't softwares like Ableton already do that?
@drewgrit_13 күн бұрын
Hey my friend, yes they can do that. But if you don’t understand the difference yet that’s all cool, that just means you need to play with the DAW stock plugins until you understand them and know their limitations. Then you’ll understand why sometimes these additional plugins are useful! I know that doesn’t answer your question exactly but it’s the best advice I can give💪

I have seen it plenty of times but for whatever reason I’m just not drawn to it. Could be the design I don’t know. But cool thanks for the recommendation my friend💪
@APMTenants25 күн бұрын
If you want the external MIDI sequencing and multiple outs, you would have to step up the MPC X to rival the XL with a current MPC. But you still wouldn’t have DIGITAL IN AND OUT. With the XL, you also get those fat Burr Brown AD converters. So you have the option of being totally transparent or letting the input stage color the sound. The MPC is a sampling drum machine and sequencer, that’s all. It’s not trying to do everything in one box, which is always a compromise. If you need a million virtual instruments, you get those with your externally sequenced gear. 2000xl will increase in value or at least hold value. The MPC One you pay $600-700 for is going to be selling for a bag of groceries after a second and no one will be able to fix them.
@drewgrit_23 күн бұрын
Totally hear what you’re saying my friend, all fair points! I plan on getting an MPC One sooner or later to compare and contrast but I think you’re right, I’ll prob end up with a similar outlook on the old school MPC vs new school MPC. Thanks for adding to the conversation my friend💪

Ever since I started using DAWs in the late 1990's I never felt like it was worth getting any effects cards because it's better to do the effects in the mix. Even with hardware mixing effects, MPC's fare better using those because you aren't recording the effects going in. It's never a good idea to record reverb in especially when it's before compression.
@drewgrit_23 күн бұрын
I feel you my friend, it’s definitely better to apply the effects like reverb at a later stage but it’s still useful to have effects to play with while just using the MPC. But yea you’re right my friend, thanks for the comment💪

@drewgrit_ I grew up smack bang with the ps1, I was 7 when it' was out, mind blowing to see 3d and I swear the music was pure belter esp them ridge racer or wipEout (with the E for ecstasy) has this game in nightclubs apparently..pure smicked out and i loved it haha Great channel BTW and it's great to see someone from the sane place appreciating the music from this console, the music for Alundra(if you like old zelda play this!) FF7,8 saga frontier 2 was brilliant too. Check them out if you have a wide taste in music. The music and the console really were such a vibe of the mid late 90s. I remember you could go to people's houses who would chip the ps1 for you they then would give you a list of games printed out, you'd then tick them, pay upfront then wait a week or so...I remember my da seeing the peelers when I was going to collect my ps1 after getting chipped and her was bricking it haha. Also, trancedance/jungle music is just ingrained in Belfast 90s culture, everyone had trance nation or ministry of sound CDs blasting! I grew up Lenadoon and it was rough AF living there as a kid and I would of heard this music as it is a part of Chav/smick culture even at kids birthday blow up castle parties in the carpark 🥳 😆😂. Anyways great work 👏
