Awesome! Do you remove the cardboard after the resin dries, or sell the print with the cardboard inside?

hello I did a top coat on a table but I got some missing on the top spots and the edges are dripped, can I use more epoxy to cover and sand it down later to match the previous coat?
@Artresin10 ай бұрын
You can fix bare spots or remove drips/surface imperfections by sanding the cured resin, smoothing any uneven spots. Once you have sanded, clean off any sanding dust and then pour a second layer. To reduce drips around the edges, run your gloved hand around the sides to smooth out drips. You can use painters table on the underside of the table to collect any drips and remove the tape once the resin cures.

Can you do the top of the deck? And how to not have it all in the middle
@Artresin11 ай бұрын
You could do the top but it is super glossy and would be slippery too. You could apply the grip tape overtop once it cured. To avoid pooling you can apply in a thin layer using a brush or smoothing on with your gloved hand.

Santa Cruz literally made a skateboard with a plastic coating on it. No matter how hard you try to scratch it, it rarely gets any scratches, you really really need hard to try and scratch it. Sadly they don't exist anymore and im disappointed after buying the vx Santa cruz version because it's just raw wood, no protection. Does Anyone know what kind of coating they did on it, because the coating or the graphic was literally half a centimeter thick

What if you didn't do that and it's already dry?
@Artresin Жыл бұрын
You can always sand the edges to smooth them out, then apply a layer of ArtResin with a gloved hand, or just paint them black after sanding.

Thanks for the video! That is the only thing you did not show, what is the way successfully protect the back of the wood panel from the epoxy resin drips?
@Artresin Жыл бұрын
The best way to prevent the drips from sticking to the back of your panel is to use painters tape and mask off the back. Once the resin has cured hard enough to handle, you can pull off the tape and any resin drips will come with it.

Can you fix one that has sagged
@Artresin Жыл бұрын
The best fix would be to lightly sand the cured resin surface then pour another layer of fresh resin over top. This fresh layer will level out the lower area and leave you with a nice flat smooth surface.

What kind of wood did you use for the photo you have mounted?
@Artresin2 жыл бұрын
We like to use birch art panels, but you can use any kind of wood. Be careful that you take the time to seal the wood first to help prevent any off gassing which will leave you with bubbles.

I love teh resin on canvas but my art turn yellow, what do yuu do? base coat? what dou you use to prevent turning yellow> thank you
@Artresin2 жыл бұрын
We are sorry to learn that your artwork showed some signs of yellowing. While ArtResin contains some very powerful UV stabilizers in its formula, unfortunately UV is not the only cause for yellowing art. Other factors such as bulking, over torching, interactions with other art materials such as titanium dioxide which is found in most white paint, can all contribute to accelerated yellowing. Avoiding UV rays, excess heat, and allowing paints to cure fully prior to applying resin can help! We would be happy to help try to understand what happened, drop us a line with photos to [email protected]

what would happen if I wanted to print off a piece of art on paper, then seal it onto the skateboard with resin/polyurethane? I'm not artistic and avoid using paint when possible.
@Artresin2 жыл бұрын
You can easily do this! Just test the paper first, it may require a sealer to prevent it from absorbing the resin. Once sealed you can use a spray adhesive to fix it to the board, use a roller to ensure there are no air pockets trapped behind it, then coat with ArtResin.

The calculator on ArtResin.com will calculate the total amount of mixed ArtResin required- you will then mix 50% resin and 50% hardener for the perfect 1:1 ratio :)
