I found great success in making what I call hybrid outlines: I buy or somehow gain access to a commercial outline + I create my own outline using the professor's syllabus + notes from class + case rules + vocabulary and information from the case book that the professor referenced. Then I piece it all together according to the professor's syllabus, remove the redundancy, and that equals my outline. Next, I do an advised 100 or more practice problems which is a mix of multiple-choice and essay-style problems. I highlight the answers to the questions I missed in my outline, add points if not present in my outline, study the weak areas twice as much as those areas I'm strong in, talk to the professor about things you don't understand, take the exam, and earn great grades. @Learnlawbetter thank you for sharing mature and levelheaded advice. I'm now a 2L. This channel is law school gold.

I graduated from college in 1991 and could have gone to Washington University law school. However, I was scared away by the cost and decided to go to work for the family business. Thirty three years later, that was a bad decision. The cost back in the early 90's would be a bargain today and any student loans would have long sense been paid off. I was also greedy because after four years of being a poor undergrad, I had a well paying job. My advise to young college grads is to focus on the long game and don't focus on what your financial situation will be the day you get out of law or medical school, but focus on what it will be like when you are between 35 to 55 and in your earnings prime. By the way, I eventually went back to night school for my MBA and have done very well in my career.

I want to file a case for defamation and slander against a convenience store in El Paso Texas. I am being banned from the store for filing a complaint against them, the new law supposedly has to scan my id and a new worker their refused me the purchase of cigarettes my id was not expired but was damaged and she stated that she could not sell them to me cuz she had to scan it. I did tell her she was full of and left. I have been going to this store for 15 years I am a disabled 59 year old woman everyone there knows me and he store is walking distance to me. The next time I went she was there and claimed that I was banned from the store I asked her why she lied and claims that I was yelling at the customers and was no longer allowed to enter. I have attempted to take the proper steps without any luck. I sent a letter to the corporate office and immediately received a response that I was allowed to enter and purchase anything and the issue has been corrected. One night I went and one of my long time friends and worker denied me entrance to the store I told him I had a text and he said he didn't care he was not told that I was able to enter the store. I spoke again to the manager and I thanked her for addressing the issue but I would no longer be entering the store. Today I went and the manager and another long time worker and I thought friend yelled me out of there. I have been going to this store for 15 years and now due to a false statement I am not allowed to enter my convenience walking distance store. NOw that is affecting my reputation with the workers I have known and done business with for years. This to me is defamation of character, slander which is affection my reputation and now even looks like its just retaliation because of the claim I made to the corporate office.

There is a Singapore based data center (ST) where some of the team lead are not befitting of a proper leader. They said work smart but not work hard, but the only smart thing I see them doing is going around tripping people, sabotage and back stabbing people behind other people's back for their own benefits. Probably quite smart since you do not need to put in as much effort to your work but to the detriment and expense of the company.

If someone says I quit my job, when I didn't where I have not been able to get a new job. Someone calls me about getting medicine I don't need. I was called a man, when I am a woman. I was called LGBTQIA, when I am not. Someone said watch out for your husbands, when I am completely abstinent, don't drink, don't smoke, don't do drugs, don't have a gun, and stopped to write this message, when I am mopping the floor. I have not actually stopped working. I help my Mother and son, and other people have seen me

Hello Beau Baez! Is there any ground for defamation law suit in the case that a colleague at work commented on a private group with many members of the same workplace that one or various colleagues hired from outsourcing didn't posses certifications required to work there (though true), yet had only assumptions and used impolite language such us "invadors"? How long is the statute of limitations?

Given the gross oversaturation of the job market for JD's that has been getting worse every year for the last two decades or so, perhaps reading the classified section and finding a job, instead of wasting a few hundred grand and three years of your life getting a worthless JD, would be wise. . .
@criminallaw9573
@criminallaw9573 2 ай бұрын
Here's the real secret: Don't go to Law School! The job market for JD's is profoundly oversaturated, there are no jobs for most new law school grads. There are 11 ABA-accredited Law Schools in Florida, 10 in Pennsylvania, six in tiny Washington DC. . . there might, just possibly, be enough jobs for one graduating class of new lawyers in each of those jurisdictions, not 6-11 of them.
