Crippled arms or not the end result is not that persons creation or something to be proud of. Many people around the world have overcome disabilities and created new techniques and styles which a lot more than any AI "artist" has claim to.
@AlexReynardАй бұрын
Do you have any idea how arrogant and heartless that is? That you're saying to a hypothetical disabled person, "You shouldn't use that tool that lets you create what you want, because *_I_* don't like it. There's plenty of other things you can do instead. Just don't use this, because I say so."
@AnonymouthfulАй бұрын
@@AlexReynard Again, using AI isnt creation, at worst its stealing millions of peoples around the world from different countries, cultures and walks of life with a press of a button. Theres nothing heartless about telling a person who wants to do this to find a more dignified way to go about making something they can actually be proud of having created it with their own two hands.
@AlexReynardАй бұрын
@@Anonymouthful Please explain how it is stealing. No one has ever been able to explain to me how software that looks at art for reference, then creates a completely new image, pixel by pixel, without copying or tracing, is stealing. Literally today I saw someone say that, artists cutting up other artists' work for collages or mashups is okay, but AI art is not. "Theres nothing heartless about telling a person who wants to do this to find a more dignified way to go about making something they can actually be proud of having created it with their own two hands." Did you just actually fucking say that!? LMFAO. You have ZERO self-awareness! I'm talking about someone who *can't use their hands,* and you'd say that to them!? What, do you also lecture people in wheelchairs how it's undignified for them to be scooting around on a toy and they should get up and walk on their own two feet!? XD
@AnonymouthfulАй бұрын
@@AlexReynard Because most AI programs rely entire on stolen content, taken and used without the oriignal artists consent without any recognition or compensation. Not only that but the person using said generators creates nothing as its the machine thats entire behind the outcome. Its not something they can claim to be their own by any sense of the word. Your wheelchair analog is disingenuous because people can and have created art without any hands and its bad analog to me using a figure of speech.

@@Anonymouthful >Because most AI programs rely entire on stolen content, taken and used without the oriignal artists consent without any recognition or compensation. Who told you that? That has never been considered "stealing" in history before. Someone just made that up to get people outraged at AI. It has *never* been considered stealing for people to reference art, then create art of their own. It's *never* been the case that you have to ask their permission to look at their art, then make your own image in the same general style. It's *never* been the case that you have to compensate an artist if you look at their work, then make an original image of your own. That's what the software is doing: whether you call it "creating" or not, it's generating an image by rearranging pixels. It's not copy+pasting. It's not sampling. It's not cutting up anyone else's work to reassemble it into its own. Really take a moment and think about this. Someone *LIED* to you about how this software works. They did it to manipulate your emotions and get you angry at a new technology that gives more people access to having fun with art. Historically, that has never been a bad thing. Photography didn't ruin painting. File-sharing didn't ruin music and movies. You know what always happens when a new technology lets more people make/share art? *Corporations put out propaganda to hold onto their copyright, and they phrase it as if the issue is protecting struggling small artists.* The hatred against AI art is no different from, do you remember before movies in theaters, the studios would run these obnoxious little clips of some manual laborer on a movie set, and then try to shame you for file-sharing, saying you were stealing this guy's job? That's *exactly* what this is with AI. And what happened with file-sharing? More people shared movies and music, and those industries made billions, and more people than ever are making movies and music. Exactly the same as how, every time some new tool makes it easier for people to get interested in creativity, *more creativity results.* I understand you're upset about AI, but you have been lied to. AI does not steal; not unless some human directly tells it to, and even then, plagiarism like that is already done by plenty of humans without the need for AI. The software does not steal from anyone when it generates images. That's the simple, objective fact about how it works, the same as how, if somebody told you to boycott cars because they're fueled by blood, you could prove them wrong by showing how a car engine runs on gasoline. AI art generators do not, and *can not* steal, in the way you've been told they do.
